You’d be surprised that Elephant and Castle station is none of what the name suggests. Instead, there are 4 underground platforms serving the Northern and Bakerloo lines. The platforms are decent with the green pattern on the Northern line with the blue bar around the roundels. The Bakerloo’s terminus is here, and while its platforms are a lot more basic, it might a good place to get an empty carriage in Zone 1, like I did! Overall, the station is pretty good.
On 10/02/2025 at 4.40 I ask on helpful about train to Catford. Person send me to platform 2. When I go there no one was there. And there was no train for Catford. Then I ask a lady wearing dress of TFL . She said go to no four platform. Very bad then I had to run to platform 4.wring information was given by helpdesk. Need to improve it.
I use this fairly often every day and it runs as you would expect of a Tube Station. It can be maze-like for new users of the station, however there is typically signs that are clear and direct you to where you wish to go.nnThe main confusion that you cannot see on google maps is that there is another entrance to the station on the other side of the road that lets you enter into the Bakerloo line. Google maps currently has marked the Northern Line entrance, however both lines are accessible via either entrance.nnOn the Bakerloo line station, there are lifts and stairwells. Plenty of lifts for the amount of people that use the station, however can take some waiting time and patience before you can go down, however the station is never overflowing busy.nnAverage tube station, no real complaints about it. If you need to go here, there's nothing wrong with going here.
This station has two entrances/ ticket halls one on London Road and the other next to the old shopping centre. There is lifts available from the ticket hall areas halfway down to the station then stairs to the platforms. The station is like a maze depending on which entrance you entered from looking for the northern or bakerloo lines. The bakerloo line terminates at Elephant and Castle Station.
One of the busy station in zone 2. Service is good. Staff is ok. This station serving by two underground lines Northern n Bakerloo. This station is fine but all I don’t like is the lifts for going down at station. There’s no escalators. Even this station has a great location. One side London Bridge n other side Westminster & one side Vauxhall & other side Waterloo. Don’t know y this station is being ignore.
