Serving a number of lines, this is a cavernous area of passages and escalators. Also the location of the shuttle Waterloo and City Line running to Bank only. Change here also for Bakerloo and Northern Lines.
Exquisite architecture combines with thoughtful design and attentive creativity skills to create the jewel of the South Bank, providing millions of people in the South West a gateway to the greatest city of one of what was the greatest empires. Waterloo station dazzles on first sight, providing a grand, rich, and preparing entrance into what is universally known as one of the most efficient, modern, and largest cities in the world. Waterloo
A transportation hub in Londonnthe last stop of the Southwest trainnYou can walk almost to the tourist centre of London, which we are familiar with.nnThe lobby of Waterloo Station is always busynnIt’s a big train station with trains going between underground and ground all day.nnIt is clean even though it was quite busy with many travelers. It’s easy to see from which platform the train leaves.nnIt is a huge station inside surrounded by many vehicles and pedestrian traffic.nnThe station has both regular trains running to other parts of the UK and subways running throughout London.nnThe exterior is impressive, at least on one side. On the other side, it looks a little depressed, but it’s an interesting place overall.nnThere are restaurants and shops in the station. Roads outside the station are packed with both vehicles and pedestrians.
One of the main Northern Line and busiest station in London. Really busy specially at peak time.nLocation wise too good. Just very next to River Thames, LondonEye, Westminster Bridge, Royal Festival Hall and many more important points for the tourists. It’s next to Waterloo train station which is the busiest station because of Southwestern railways main operator. A new brand shopping place opened The Siding Waterloo.
So, generally this station is great - the staff a very friendly and lots of shops for coffees etc. Upon visiting the station today I was really disappointed and annoyed at the WOMEN toilets now being changed to “gender neutral”, why?! Incredibly inconvenient especially for women with younger children! Please leave women’s toilets alone, and build additional toilet faculties if they need to be “gender neutral”!
