Brilliant two hour e-mtb hire and Ashton Court Trails blast with my teen son. We loved the way the bikes flew along the trails and up the climbs too. Much fun was crammed into the two hours once we has mastered the pedal assist. Many thanks to the two Ollies , we'll be back
Dream team of 'Ollie n Ollie' fixed two problems on my mountain bike with a smile and faster than promised. They actually enjoy their job which you can see on their faces and is refreshing. It was the cheapest shop rate for repairs I've ever experienced. I'm doing all my bike maintenance with these folks from now on. Were fantastic on rentals too. Thank you Ollie's :
Rented one of the new e-bikes with my grandson last week. What a great experience! I’m recently recovering from a knee replacement and a little nervous but excited to restart mtb. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Both called Ollie so easy to remember!! The trails were challenging but manageable even for a grandparent with 7 decades under his belt. I am already planning our next trip. Thoroughly recommend this experience. Bill
We had a two hour mountain bike training session with Matt and loved it. It achieved just what we hoped with an introduction to the basics and lots of top tips. It was fun and informative. I now adopt my “ready position” coming down hills.. Matt is a long distance mountain biker and the handling of his bike is impressive. He seemed completely at one with it. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon.
I hired a mountain bike and took part in one of the public skills sessions, fundamentals of mountain biking. I had done quite a lot of off road riding on a gravel bike, but never a mountain bike, and wanted to make sure that I was starting from the right place technique-wise, rather than falling into bad habits. The 4 hour session flew by, covering all of the basics about body positioning, explaining all the mechanics behind what you're doing so that you understand why it works – hugely important and encouraging experimentation so that you can feel the difference between right and wrong positioning. There was a really useful section about leaning the bike and moving it underneath you, and dealing with flat turns and seeing down the trail. The instructor, Phil, was very knowledgeable and patient. He was great at catering to the range of experience and abilities in the group, and provided very valuable feedback. You can watch YouTube videos on technique all day but it doesn't compare to doing it in front of someone and them giving you feedback. I rode a section of the Nova trail before and after and the difference was night and day! The bike was in great condition and perfectly-suited to the terrain. I would definitely recommend Pedal Progression
I had booked a mtb coaching session with my dad here and the instructor was really helpful and informative. We had a great time and even though it wasn't what we were expecting it helped our riding immensely. I had been riding for about a year or two on trails and with the instructors help I was able to elevate my riding and found a noticeable difference when I went out again on the trails the next day
I was kindly given a voucher by my family to attend the fundamentals course offered by Pedal Progression. I can't recommend it highly enough! Great introduction to MTBing with a good balance of focusing on the basics and using the basics doing some fun trails. I will definitely be going for the fundamentals course for a second time.
I can't praise Pedal Progression and Phil enough, the sessions at Ashon Court were so much fun. I've had 4 private lessons with Phil, starting from the basics as I've only just starting riding off-road. Phil was an excellent instructor and really helped to improve my confidence, the sessions were really enjoyable and broken down into the practice of different techniques.
Myself and two friends had a two-hour skills session with Phil and we arrived with a range of experience and skillsets. Phil assessed our level and tailored the session to suit us individually and as a group. We all learned a great deal from him and highly recommend the small group sessions for anyone who wishes to build confidence. The whole team were great to communicate with, especially as our numbers kept changing! A great asset for Bristol, thanks everyone!
Great place for a fun day out in Bristol and to hire mountain bikes for a hour. We cycled around the blue signposted mountain bike track around Ashton Court. The staff at Pedal Progression are a great!
