Amazing service, kind and helpful staff with competitive prices! I had a broken spoke on my bicycle rim and made a few phone calls to try and get the problem fixed asap. I was told by other workshops that I'd have to wait over a week to have my bicycle serviced. However, I'm so glad I called Psyclewerx as the mechanic offered to fix my bicycle 30 minutes before they were due to close the very same day! On top of that, his price was cheaper than anywhere else I was quoted, which was a pleasant bonus! I highly recommend getting your bike serviced at this neat shop or even looking at their bicycle range as they offer lifetime services for any bicycle over £400, I've never heard of any bicycle shop offering this kind of customer service..will definitely be back to support the business! :
Have used the shop a few times. A mixed bag really. Had a new bottom bracket and chain added which they did the same day - great. But cones were loose when I got the bike back. Then booked my mountain bike in for a service. Explained over the phone that forks had lost pressure. Booked in for a service 3 weeks later. When I turned up with the bike I was told that I needed to book in for a separate service for the forks, even though I mentioned this on the phone. Another 3 week wait to get my forks done. No attempt to get the work done any earlier which was a shame. Cancelled service.
Excellent shop, service and staff. Took a recently purchased second hand bike in for a service/check, and the staff provided a detailed evaluation at no cost. I will be going back for sure. Very rare in this day and age to get support for no charge. Thank You. Mike
I bought my bike from Psyclewerx in November 2013. As the bike had cost over £400 I was given free servicing for its lifetime clearly, I've had to pay for parts. After the last service at the end of August something was not quite right with the gears the chain was chaffing in some gear combination settings when it hadn't been before the service. I emailed Robby who told me to bring it back in as soon as I could. I left it with him on a Thursday afternoon and collected it first thing on the Friday morning and everything is working perfectly now. There was no charge for this. I've recommended Psyclewerx to a number of people.
NOT SURE THEY EVEN DID ANYTHING FOR £45 SERVICE asked when i booked it what they would do, so they said the gears, check all the bolts ect and re apply oils to chains etc, and clean bike collected the bike started riding up the road chain FELL OFF clearly was not working in any gears immediately took it back to be rectified which they did adjust it again, but once i got it home, checked the bike over and it has the same old oil on the chain set. which you would expect to be cleaned and redone as bare minimum for less than what seems like 2 mins work. maybe it was because i didn't need any parts so i didn't deserve the time necessary but hey ho, tutorial on line and 45 quid in the back burner next time :
Took my bike in over the summer after the back axle snapped to get the wheel replaced. A few days later when on a shift with Deliveroo the new wheel locked and I had to carry the bike on my shoulder all the way up Park Street and through the university back to Psyclewerx. The guy was clearly annoyed at having to deal with me, he did not apologise once nor did he offer a partial refund for the shoddy job he'd done before. Having 'fixed it' again I took the bike outside and span the wheel to check. It didn't run properly, coming to a stop after only a couple of seconds. I took the bike back in to tell him he STILL hadn't fully fixed it. he told me that it was a problem with the brakes and that whoever had set them up before had done a bad job. Irony of ironies it had been him who had last set them up only a month before for which I obviously paid top dollar. I told him this, at which point he promptly blamed my bike instead saying that it had cheap brakes anyway. Outrageously poor customer service. I stopped going to them after that, however I have had decent customer service from them in the past. There's a really young guy who works there who's super polite and helpful.
Thoroughly disappointed in this shop. Not particularly friendly as all other bike shops actually quite rude on my first visit - being spoken down to is not nice when you are the customer. Asked them to help me put a nut on for me the second time - £1 for the nut fair enough but a £2 labour charge - for what was about 15 seconds work. I understand its a business, but price your efforts fairly if you want repeat custom
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, easy to get a quick appointment and always impressed with the results. The staff remember me and my bike from one visit to the next even if it's been 6 months ago. Customer service at it's best which is why I keep going back :
I had been looking for a Ti framed bike for a couple of months. The 1st problem was getting a dealer to reply to an email thanks FatBirds and South West Bike Builders -NOT and then finding a bike in stock that I could go and look at. I contacted Psyclewerx who said that they had a Lynskey built up and I could test ride. Within minutes of putting the phone down, Robbie phoned me back and informed me that he had contacted the distributor and they had my frame size in stock. I could have my frame in a couple of days. I cannot tell you how refreshing this customer service was after getting fobbed off by others. I went over the next day and dealt with John and Jameswho makes nice coffee. One day later, I'd ordered my custom built Lynskey Sportive and 10 days later I was picking it up! I was kept up-to-date with emails and pic's and the service could not be faulted. Thanks.
I bought a new Planet X bike and took it in for gear adjustment. I was charged £40 for a PDI. After two unsuccessful attempts they have not been able to make the front derailleur work. It's stuck on the smallest cog and I am not keen to attempt a DIY job. This is hugely frustrating not to mention the wasted time involved in getting to/from the shop. I have used them for maintenance of my Marin hydrid for several years without problems. What's gone wrong guys? I'll give them one more try before asking for my money back.
