Ordered a lovely new bike from Temple Cycles following test rides of three different models. Build quality is excellent and top end components used are carefully sourced and quality controlled. The bikes are carefully assembled to the highest standards by hand in the Bristol workshop with the emphasis on longevity and sustainability. Can't wait to take delivery!
I ordered a advanture frameset, my choosen color wasn't available which turned Out after ordering, the customer Support was Not very fast and shipping took much longer than promised. IT was Not possible to ship the Bike with a longer stem with Out paying for an other one. After a few week there was a 30% Off action and i was in the first 30 days with my frameset, i contacted temple often you can get the discouted price, If you bought your frame a short time before but No response by temple, which was Not creating a nice feeling. When you surf in the temple web Side there ist the suggestion the Bike/frame is build in UK but ITS Made in Taiwan and the build Up is in UK. Thats all the negative about the temple, but the frame is nice build and i realy Like IT.
Corking team, ace service and really gorgeous - but really functional bikes. I was lucky to test ride and review one of the Adventure Disc 1 gravel bikes, which I really rated.
I have had my Temple bike for 18 months now and I still get the same enjoyment riding it as when I first bought it. Built with great craftsmanship and high quality components, I am yet to have a single issue with the bike. It looks superb and is the envy of the Berlin streets! Matt makes the purchasing experience a great one - he is a walking, talking bike encyclopedia and can tailor your bike to your needs. He set up mine just right and was happy to talk through ideas with me. I look forward to riding my Temple for years to come!
Since I got my Temple Cycle over a year ago, I have been pedalling around our local, very hilly lanes in Somerset, and have really improved my fitness, I absolutely love it! My bike has just 9 gears, but I can literally cycle up anything, and I don't have to stand on the pedals. My bike is light, but sturdy, which gives me confidence. It has upright handlebars, a basket at the front, a Brooks saddle and bamboo mudguards, so it looks cool and quirky, and gets a lot of admiring comments.
I love my Classic Lightweight - I was anxious about 'downgrading' the number of gears - as although I live in London, I like to get out and about on longer rides.... I needn't have worried, as the gears are perfectly set up to be able to tackle any hill I encounter, even with 15kg of toddler strapped to the back. As an enthusiastic rider, with minimal bike maintenance experience, its lovely to have a bike that it simple to look after. I have had lots of complements on the bike's good looks too - which is always nice!
Great staff. Great bikes. Great shop. Temple Cycles’ bikes are top quality. Matt and his team were extremely helpful throughout the process. My bike was hand assembled in Bristol at a great price. No hidden fees. Their Bristol based workshop was very accessible, modern and a joy to visit. I can’t recommend enough.
I ordered a custom build. It was a large lightweight frame, it took around 6weeks to build from the order date. The communication and advice from the Temple team was excellent throughout the process. I opted for black as my custom colour which looks incredible, I also opted for the Brooks saddle and bamboo mud guards. The bike came out looking exactly as I pictured it in my head. I will certainly be using Temple again as I have my eye on an adventure bike!!
I ordered a Temple Adventure Road bike when the pop-up Temple Cycles outlet visited London in July. I had a test ride on a similar bike and was delighted with the build quality and geometry of the bike I tested. I'd already been sold on the looks of the bike by a friend of mine who is a very satisfied customer. I ordered the cream colour, opted for a pair of the elegant bottle cages and two bottles but other than that kept it pretty close to standard as I'm a big fan of Shimano 105 gears. I've now been riding the bike for close to two months and it's been a joy, whether on my 20 mile round trips to the outdoor pool in Letchworth actually it's less than 15 miles but I deliberately find detours or on longer rides including a Sportive and an Audax. Everything works perfectly and it's had a lot of admiring comments - mainly from occasional cyclists - and the occasional sneer from Carbon Fibre riders as I passed them going up hills! Incredibly pleasant to deal with, I reckon my next bike will also be a Temple, and I recommend anyone reading this to take a test ride.
I love my Temple Cycles! Very well done, beautifully designed frame and my Brooks saddle is so comfy. Ideal for cycling in the city and weekend rides. On top of that, Matt was really helpful when I couldn't decide on a bike. Will recommend it to anyone.
