I knew the bike that I was interested in (Cube Reaction Pro) which was in stock and on demo, and which I was able to test ride. I'm a very experienced cyclist, and Chris was very knowledgeable about the range and super helpful in finding exactly the right size and options for me, at a very competitive price, as well as explaining how to get the best out of the bike, and its suitability both for commuting (Bristol-Bath) and weekend off-roading. He answered all my questions, and turned around the order very quickly and efficiently. After sales service is also excellent, and I feel like a valued customer - really exemplary service in all respects. If you're after an electric bike in Bristol (or even further afield), this is the place. Highly recommended.

Update after over a years ownership. The bike has been great and has made getting round Bristol so much easier. I have the bike that suits me well, so the original advice was good. But you only find out how good your retailer is when you need some help or advice. I had a brake issue and called in to see Chris at the shop. He stripped the brakes down and on the rear the pads had worn so were replaced, but on the front there was air in the hydraulics. These he bled for me showing how it was done. Excellent service, couldn't have asked for more. I have been researching electric bikes for some time. I initially tried one from work, but the range was 30 miles which meant having a charger at each end of the journey. I needed a longer range and the opportunity to try it for a day or so. It is a large investment and the "round the block" or "up to half an hour" rides are not enough to see how it works and if it is right for you. Electric Bike Sales were different right from the start. A quick phone call confirmed that I could hire the bike for two days to really try it out and also they had a large range of bikes. Chris, the manager, really knows his stuff. No hard sell, just find out what you are looking for, in my case the maximum range, comfortable to ride, and a few suggest models to try. I collected a bike and almost immediately cycled up two hills locally that I hadn't managed for 30 years. The following day I cycled to Bath & back, about 30 miles. Still a lot of power left in the battery when we got home. The next day I tried a route of the same distance, but with lots of hills. Again lots of power left in the battery. Chris suggested I try another similar bike to compare. Also very good but derailleur gears rather than hub as on the first bike. I have now purchased the bike and just completed a 45 mile ride, a mixture of gentle hills and a few steeper ones. The bike computer was advising that another 30 was possible. I am very pleased with my purchase and found the shop an excellent one to deal with. Chris is very patient and knows his stock well. He gives information and advice then lets you try his suggested bikes and decide. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Chris is very welcoming and friendly. He takes time with all his customers. Had my bike serviced today and was pushed for time and Chris said he’d do his best. He certainly did as within an hour he gave me a ring to say the service was complete. Thanks again Chris. Great customer service.

I was welcomed into the shop by Chris who took time to explain the different aspects of electric bikes including the frame size. and of course the weight I was able to test drive or perhaps I should say ride an electric bike and we both survived this !! I had not been cycling for a number of years . As I am 5' 2" there were no smaller frame sizes in stock but was able to put a deposit on a smaller frame and look forward to when the bike arrives .

This is brilliant place despite, or perhaps because of its unassuming location and appearance. We bought two Raleigh electric bikes a year ago, after advice from Chris and after trying bikes for ourselves, on trust with no security deposit! The bikes sold themselves and we have been delighted ever since. Servicing is no problem, indeed the first service is free. If you’re thinking of going electric, don’t think twice, get along to Lower Redland Road. There’s a big choice and sensible advice from Chris.
