I've really tried to like this shop because it's so close to where I live but every time I take my bike back here for repairs the service is terrible. The last "full service" I paid for, my bike came away with squeaky breaks, which I had specifically said needed fixing, so unsure if they were even touched the first time around. When I took the bike back to get the squeek fixed, they replaced my brakes again and charged me again, while taking at least a week to do this. When I finally got my bike home the peddle had been broken off. I'll look for a different shop to get the peddle fixed I think.
Great service today, brought two 2nd hand kids bikes. Really good spec on both, they even cut the saddle pole down to suit my 6 yo. Would recommend
Amazing independent bike shop, great relaxed service with a knowledgeable team and not only sourced a lovely bike for my daughter but always fixes and repairs our bikes to the highest standards.
Excellent local, independent and reasonably priced bicycle shop that we've used as a family for years and they've never let us down. Went in at lunchtime today to buy some new bike lights. Great as ever. The man was very patient while I tried out different lights and gave me good advice, showing me a very reasonably priced set rather than steering me to the most expensive. He then fitted them for me and also pumped the tyres at no extra charge. As a woman, I really appreciate a bike shop where the staff are polite and not condescending. A gem of a local shop.
Poor service, have taken my bike a few times there and they never seem to be able to fix it properly. Wouldn't recommend them
I rented a "hybrid" from this shop, that was almost brand new and in excellent condition, It was really what I would call a gravel bike, that was awesome for road and path riding in the surrounding Bristol areal. I found the staff extremely helpful, provided me with all the extras.. strong lock, helmet, pump, changing equipment without any extra charge. The rates were very fair. All in all a great experience, and I highly recommend
I am a supporter of local and small businesses, but I do NOT recommend this one. Extremely poor customer experience, and most disappointed by this small family business. I went to the shop to ask for a job on my bike, I was told that it will take up to 24hrs. When I brought the bike, I was then told 48hrs. Fine, even if I use the bike for commuting, I found a workaround. However, 48hrs after, still no news. When I phoned the shop, I was told that due staff shortage, they did not had time to even look at the bike... surprisingly, when I went to the shop the mechanic was outside the shop having a cigarette break... as he was when I was on my home the day before I pass by the shop twice a day on my way to work and back. I took the bike to a much more efficient bike shop, and the repair was done in 20 minutes, while I was waiting. And it was on Saturday morning. Think twice before going to this shop.
Visited the store for advice on bike / cycle accessories - sales staff were friendly - extremely proficient with knowledge of differences of products and how to use them correctly. Would highly recommend for the service alone.
On their website and phone call one day before they mentioned that the bike hire costs £20/24h. At the shop they asked for £25. Their bikes were almost new so £5 extra would have been fine. But the strange attitude that they can do whatever at their shop was very disappointing!
Needed a 2nd hand bike, they were very helpful, sorted me out with a great option, and economical new tyres too. I've been riding it around this afternoon, delivered drawings to a customer, it's perfect. They didn't want my 2 part xchange bikes, but helpfully told me where and how to price them to sell. Customer service was more like a friendly workshop than a retail experience ie no frills!.
