Bay lodge guest house was a lovely place to stay over the bank holiday weekend. It was very close to the beach and town centre which made for easy access. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Sharon and her husband were excellent hosts with lots of advice about the area, attentive and chatty at breakfast. When there, say hello to Teddy the dog, he is the breakfast companion everyone needs!
We had the best time, and Sharon was a super host, she was so accommodating to our needs and we felt at home. Her breakfast was beautiful. Tidy and clean room , parking space, near to town and shops. We will be booking again. Highly recommended! 5 stars!! We had to cancel our first reservation because of Covid, but Sharon bent over backwards to re book for us. Thank you so much! One of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed in. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the owner . The location is ideal for us and walking distance from bars and restaurants. The breakfast included a selection of fruit, berries, yoghurt, muesli and pastries, followed by a full English with the best bacon and sausage I've had in a long time. A kettle and complimentary tea, coffee and water were provided. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay! We will definitely be back next time we're in Eastbourne!
Stayed here between performances at Eastbourne pride. Very smart accommodations, rooms were fresh, clean, well appointed. The hosts were warm and friendly, the breakfast was exceptional. I’ve stayed in some very tired guest houses in Eastbourne with poor amenities, but this one had everything you could think of and extra touches that you hadn’t even considered! I won’t be staying anywhere else from now on.
Wonderful 3 nights stay here. Sharon is the Ideal hostess who makes you feel so welcome. We were lucky enough to have the only bedroom with a balcony which we used. Breakfast is served in the cosy dining room with a very varied menu, freshly cooked to order. Location ideal for those who like a 10 to 15 min walk to centre pier or there is a bus stop nearly opposite for those who need it.
Sue was a wonderful host, the room was spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy. The blackout curtains really helped as it’s now very light early summer mornings. The breakfast was all freshly cooked to order and there was a great selection of cereals, yoghurt, juices etc. Conveniently positioned across the road from the park leading onto the seafront, you can’t ask for a better location. Only downside is parking, if arriving late as we did the side streets offer free on road parking, however it’s very busy and difficult to find something after about 5-10 mins going up and down various streets we found somewhere, recommend to arrive & park early if you can. Overall a lovely little place and a wonderful host.
Stayed couple times always treated well.. £70 for small room bit Excessive. Noise under neath and breakfast room.. Going East bourne again October managed get hotel value for money. Bar lounge all in one. Not put people off staying here but single rooms pokey not worth £70. Hosts nice people. Prefer stay else where on further trips Rooms: Single rooms pokey
Wonderful place in the heart of Eastbourne. Hosted by Hayley and Jon,we had a very comfortable stay in room 6. Room was immaculate and had all the amenities that are required. Beautiful cooked breakfast included. Free parking to the rear of the property. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I spent two nights at the bed and breakfast. The room was cozy and clean with a great view of the sea. The English breakfast and the fruit salad were excellent. Both the hosts were incredibly welcoming and offered great recommendations of what to do around Eastbourne. We wish we could have stayed longer.Rooms: 4/5
This is the best , most friendly B&B I have ever stayed in . . It's small , cosy , home from home . The rooms are spotless , facilities amazing .. shower TV complimentary ..that goes without saying .. but if something was wrong , exp my basin plug got stuck. 1 word from me. And bam. It's fixed . The breakfast and choice .. amazing . Nothing seemed too much . It's location is just across the road from the beach/sea . For children the pebbly beaches are not ideal , but when sea is out it's sweet sand . This lodge is not for a family , but couples and single people like me . I only visited for 4 days .. it was value for money , and I was very sad to leave . I will ,without doubt return the following year . I'm 57 and stayed in many B & Bs ,. This one is far my favourite Nearby activities: It's just a short beautiful walk down the promenade to the pier one way .. or walk on the promenade to the harbour the other . The s-opping centre is still as it should be . Many many shops usualand some that I'd love to have in my own town . It's inealking distance from bay lodge . From the pier you can take a sightseeing bus up into the South downs .. I did. It's beautiful . There are amusements and 5hings to do all around Eastbourne .. Walkability: South downs ..beachy head. Birling gap sisters white cliffs .. the promenade stretches for miles along the sea front . It's just beautiful . Can do as much , or as little as you wish
