London Bridge is one of the busiest spots in the city, and honestly, it’s a bit of a maze if you don't use it all the time. It’s been a major transport hub since the late 1800s, though it’s had so many upgrades that it feels pretty modern now. It connects to the National Rail side and the main road, which is great, but just expect to be part of a massive crowd pretty much whenever you visit, and also the long walk for connections. The view around the station is great, you can see the skyline of Bank area.
This was an intriguing station for arrival and departure, with an underground setting resembling a UFO in a way! This is done from the metal curves going round the corners that also have lights running through, same design carries through to the platforms. These are well sized and departure boards up to date, very creative how the platform doors align exactly with train doors and the escalator area is large!
London Bridge Underground Station has always felt exceptionally well judged to me. The Jubilee line is notably comfortable, while the Northern line is extremely useful, making the station one of the most practical interchanges in the city. From here, central London is reached quickly, and access to the Central line, District line, Circle line, and the Elizabeth line is just one stop away.nIt was also my favourite stop during my student years. Just a few steps from Borough Market and the South Bank, it always felt connected to the best of London — food, movement, culture and long walks along the river. Practical, comfortable, and full of personal memories, London Bridge remains a station that genuinely works in the passenger’s favour.
London’s transport system is astounding. We stayed steps from here and it was a great central location to get all over town. Everything was clean, accessible, and safe — there were a few un housed people which was sad — and we liked the centrality of it all. Transportation was a breeze!
London Bridge station and London Bridge underground station serves many passengers every single day and it is a very pleasant station to use as a passenger as it is very safe and clean here. If there is waiting time for the train departures, then there's plenty of options for shopping and eating. I warmly recommend this station and also the sourounding area.
