Big store. Little cafe. The only issue I had is that they didnt have baskets or trolleys. Spoke to a member of staff who advised they have been trying to request them at head office level but not had a response. Not one customer had a trolley or basket. Update. I got stopped by security outside and told they did not see me pay for over £100 worth of goods. I told the security that I paid for the goods before I went to the cafe. I was left feeling humiliated and told the security to go check the cameras properly and go do one. Obviously I was profiled. I'm fuming. .... Never will I step foot in that store again.
Free parking outside for up to three hours.nToilets inside.nA cafe.nOne of the largest dunelms I've actually seen.nVery clean and tidy inside with plenty of staff.nTill service was fast and efficient with plenty of space for everyone.nnMy only criticism is that the cafe staff don't actually seem to want to be there.nI was stood there for so long ignored, I wondered if I should serve myself to food....nStill, everyone has a bad day, so I hope next time will be better.... !
Store was uncomfortably warm, leaving me feeling unwell. I decided to go to the cafe to get a drink because of it and was stood in a que of 3 people for about 20 minutes before I decided to walk away as I had no acknowledgment from staff; they did not seem overly busy either. We purchased an item downstairs and staff seemed very miserable and bored, chatting to eachother about a customer. It did not seem like any of the staff wanted to be there. I probably won’t return to this store.
There is a lad in the coffee shop upstairs called Nate. He is just wonderful. Such a lovely, friendly young man.nI have purchased the greatest cushions and curtains from here too.nAlso, they have lots of housewares that are hard to find elsewhere.
Always happy with my purchases at Dunhelm. I got my amazing curtains and matching cushions from here. My latest purchase was a superb suitcase for my next holiday, after the baggage handlers at Heathrow treated my old one like a WW2 POW in Japan.
