We did get a good deal on various electronics, but 1 The sales assistant took over an hour and a half to sort out our purchase after we had decided what to buy. Several items needed to be collected at later dates. 2 We never got phone calls telling us that they were available and each trip to the store took over half an hour. 3 The sales assistant told us that he let the last TV of the make we'd decided to get be sold to someone else who came after as. We were then told they oversold 105 of that make so it TV so it took over two weeks to get it. 4 Impossible to call the store directly. 5 Our TV was eventually scheduled for delivery. We got a four hour delivery slot, yet the delivery drivers showed up an hour early, when we were away! They did bring it back the same day. The box was filthy and the driver walked onto our carpet with muddy boots. Avoid, if at all possible.
Walked in and a group of 4 associates were hanging out together in the center of the store eating ice lollies. Understand today was the hottest day of the year and the AC was pretty low for a electronics store, but was hoping for some guidance. They saw me looking around but no one approached to assist. Was looking for a Huawei smartwatch, eventually found the area. Picked up a pamphlet and educated myself on the one I wanted. Fortunately, Jake had come by and asked if I needed anything and was able to assist me. Was visiting the UK from Canada and expected better service. I know from visiting other stores in UK they do put customers first, but was a bit disappointed with the first group I encountered who were chatting away. I almost felt it would be rude to interrupt their conversation. I did end up buying the watch.
Nice place but one staff looks so rigid and aggressive. Not friendly and not even smiling to customers. The way she spoke to me at the checkout counter was not friendly. She was professional though but wasn’t smiling although I smiled at her. Giving me straightforward answers in an unfriendly manner
Really helpful staff, nice clean shop, lots of variety. It also makes a big difference when staff actually tell the truth about what they know and don't know, on order to advise you on purchases. I never expect all staff to know everything, but as has happened in other stores pretending you know and giving incorrect advice is unacceptable. At this store, staff were truthful and went to find out when I had a query they weren't sure about. I really admire that.
Had to order in store as website rejected one item in basket. Staff member had to be asked to take order by supervisor- didn't seem keen - perhaps not expensive enough. Should not offer reductions to encourage people to take up extended warranties. When cooker arrived a knob was missing. Couldn't arrange refund same day as delivery 'not debriefed' - your problem really Curry's not mine. Cancelled because 1 redelivery was going to take three weeks and 2 no trust in Curry's as this was the third problem we have had with them. They are now too big to be bothered about customers. Suggest you avoid and look around for independents - they are out there and they are far better.
Went in to get a new washing machine on finance. After looking around at what's available, I picked an LG one. It then took nearly 10 minutes to find a staff member to help me out. After 10 minutes some one finally was able to help me, but as it turns out the LG one was out of stock. So was suggested another one with a 10kg drum and arranged for delivery 5 days later. Had a call from the delivery guys quite early paid £20 for an all day slot and it was delivered by 12pm.
I think customer service could be better. Found my self struggling to find help as the staff often are standing together in a group. Not sure whether they are always having meetings but often feel unable to approach due to this. Otherwise not too bad.
This store is so paranoid about theft that sub £30 items are locked on to the display with an additional alarm wrapped around the box. You have to spend 10 minutes trying to find someone to remove it for you at which point they tell you they don't have the key and you wait another 10 minutes for them to find the one person in the store who has it. Then you have the pleasure of going to the till...and there is no one there. So you spend another 10 minutes trying to find someone to actually let you buy the item. I feel you could order online and almost get the product faster.
Large car park. This branch is really big. Not too busy when was there for a collection. Staffs are helpfull and quick. Just have to add, who's are in front desk need to be more approachable. Overall I am a happy customer.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 1 star is a generous rating, I'd give 0 if I could. I ordered some products on their website for collection at the end of November. When I arrived in store, I was told the only model available was a display model. I was told by the member of staff serving me that he wasn't able to refund my money, as I'd ordered the products online and I would need to call up their customer services team. I have rang them 4 times since the end of November, 2 of the times I was told they'd refunded me and 2 of the times I was told I needed to go back into store to get a refund, so I didn't know who to believe. After another attempt at speaking with them via Twitter, I was told I needed to go into store for them to call customer service to issue the refund. I went into the store and told them the story, the woman serving me told me that I'd left it too long and all she was able to issue me with was a gift card. I wasn't accepting this, as I had attempted 5 times to get my money back with no luck. I told her I wasn't ever planning on using Currys again due to this experience and I didn't want a gift card. Eventually she agreed to give me my money back but not before she tried to blame me for not getting my money back. I found her extremely rude for someone who told me she was head of customer services. Never, ever using Currys again!
