I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and can honestly say that the service gets better and better.nnThe staff are friendly and very informative.nnAs it was a few years ago that I last stayed in the hotel I cant remember what room it qas, but it had a lovely big bed and a wonderful sea view. We ordered room service and enjoyed dinner in the room while watching the Eurovision.nnMost recently, I attended the 1912 fish and steak restaurant, which was lovely. The food was great. I couldnt eat my burger so they kindly wrapped this up for me. It was delicious and we were a party of 10 people and there were no mishaps or mistakes which helped the meal go smoothly and flow well.nnPlease keep up the great work!
We held our three year-old son‘s birthday party in a beautiful function room. The staff were amazing. They catered for everything we needed. We felt very comfortable and very welcome. We had the option of teas and coffees being provided or to be able to buy it at the bar. We had chairs and occasional tables, white tablecloth, party tables, and there were no time pressures. We had the room from 9 until 12, which enabled lots of time to get ready for the party and to tidy up afterwards. I would highly recommend it to any other Mum’s who may want to throw a little party for their own children. Thank you Lansdowne really appreciate it.
This was a beautiful hotel. The style and quality were lovely but it was the service and the food that really stood out. Everybody I spoke to was super friendly and went over and above to accommodate me. The food served at the 1912 restaurant was excellent. The location was on the promenade meaning a walk on the beach was two minutes away. It was also a ten minute drive from Beachy Head and beautiful coastal walks. It was a 15 minute walk from the town centre meaning access to coffee shops and restaurants was super easy.
We are here for a group Birthday celebration. The dining space was large enough to comfortably seat our party of 8 round a table without it feeling cramped or squashed. The space is within the hotel so feels more functional rather than cosy and intimate.nAll the waiting staff were friendly, attentive and professional and offered good advice and recommendations from the menu.nThe food was well constructed and the flavours balanced. The presentation was beautiful and well crafted. A couple of dishes were a little on the small side which meant we had some room for dessert and the apple tarte tatin was delicious!
My Mum and I had afternoon tea today and it was lovely. The hotel was clean and welcoming, nicely decorated and very warm. The sandwiches were incredibly fresh with ample tasty fillings. Scones were very good and there was a great selection of cakes. We will definitely return.
