I absolutely love my local high street! It's a vibrant and charming place filled with an incredible variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere makes every visit a delightful experience. From trendy boutiques to cozy bookstores, there's something for everyone. The high street also hosts lively events and festivals, bringing the community together. It's the heart and soul of our town, and I couldn't imagine living without it. Highly recommended!
Absolutely stunning grounds which are beautifully maintained.nGreat experience visiting seeing some live tennis.nLots of food and drink outlets which are pricey but expected and other shops. Includes a pharmacy and gift shop.nVisited in my electric wheelchair and found the grounds very accessible. Some designated wheelchair spaces along the outside courts to enable you to get a good view but when very busy it can be hard to navigate
Overpriced and pretentious.nnSadly no amount of villagewashing will take away the fact this is a busy thoroughfare in London suburbia and very busy.nnWhen people here move to a village one day they’ll realise they have no transport, one shop, a pub that’s open for a few hours per day and no street lights. That’s the real village experience!nnMuch nicer parts of the world nearby offering much more and many better things.
Surprisingly there are many charity shops, some have high end products for sale. I found a lovely dress for £35, which seems a lot for a dress from a charity shop, but it was beutiful and supports the charities. There are top notch eateries, including a branch of THE IVY. Parking on Southside Common, not far from the shops. Pay on Ringo. Some fabulous treasures waiting to be unearthed in this luxurious high street.
Just even being here lifts one’s spirit. The whole area just oozes allure and splendour, and on a sunny day you really wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.nnThe Dog & Fox is right in the heart of it, and as fitting as the joke normally is “what’s the difference between a dog and a fox? About 8 pints”, that quip is completely I’ll-suited here because everyone is absolutely beautiful! Even the homeless smell of Dior.nnAbsolutely gawljus - the lot of ‘em!
