Snowy Day is great for young toddlers. One man play. Not overstimulating.nNo food or drinks allowed in the auditorium except water.nNo shoes inside. You sit on the floor, there are big cushions. Or in the back row on the bench.nThere is a cafe. Sandwiches are very low quality. Might be a better idea to go somewhere else for food.
I love bringing my toddler here for their productions. I think we are so lucky to have such an amazing children’s theatre in Merton and have been to every play that is age appropriate and have not been disappointed. There is also a cafe with fresh healthy food and a little shop for books and puzzles. There’s a children’s play area inside and an outside one small
We had such a great time watching The Nutcracker. I remember being brought to the Polka when I was a child and now I'm bringing my own and it's just as magical.nWe parked nearer the town centre and walked down 10 mins plenty of places to eat around the theatre.
A lovely community theatre space with a variety of shows, community activities, cafe, shop and kids play space. We saw their interpretation of the Nutcracker which our kids and us adults loved.
I telephoned and spoke to Georgia first and then Laura. I spent circa 35 minutes talking to Laura about which shows to book and the dates and times which were suitable for the four of us me, wife and two kids. Laura and Georgia were both beyond excellent. I am enormously impressed by Laura and Georgia. The smiles beamed through in their voice and their sincere desire to help came across in abundance. They convinced me to part ways with £150 for two shows. I wanted to talk to someone about the options and I got what I needed.nnI grew up in Wimbledon Park and used to visit the theatre as a child. Now I am 39 years old and am taking my children along, having moved out the area a few years ago.nnLong live the Polka Theatre. Keep children away from television and mobile phones and substitute it with theatre and your time.nnMerry Christmas
