I've booked a studio room with booking.com and after that read the reviews on google and was somewhat paniccing. But the room was in good condition, clean, everything working properly. The room service was as schedualed providing toiletteries and emptying trash once in two days, all personel very nice and helpful. Having a washing machine was great. All provided equipment worked properly, bed was comfy and the location convinient to get anywhere - with tube and buses close buy. Highly recommended!
The accommodation was overall very good, but we experienced a small issue at the beginning of our stay.nWe arrived late at night and were given a different room than the one shown in the photos on Booking. It was a completely different type of room on the second floor, which seemed older and not renovated. It felt a bit dirty and depressing, so we didn’t feel very comfortable. The receptionist asked us to come back in the morning to sort it out.nThe next day, Alena from Guest Service was very professional, kind, and helpful. She handled everything quickly and moved us to a new room on the 7th floor with a beautiful view. The room was excellent and really improved our whole stay.nIn the end, the accommodation was definitely worth the price, and we would gladly come back again.
I stayed here for three nights. I had booked a studio apartment, but it was really very small—smaller than a typical hotel room. The walls had some cracks and the furniture was quite old and worn.nnThe room had the bare essentials for sleeping, so it can be fine if you don’t have high expectations. However, there was no hair dryer in the room. The cleanliness was decent but could definitely be improved, although there were no bad smells.nnOverall, the experience was comparable to a typical American motel.nnThe location, however, is excellent: the South Kensington metro station is less than a 10-minute walk away. Also, just outside the reception on the right there is a small but well-stocked supermarket. The area around the station is well served with several places, including Starbucks.
Honestly I can't fault this hotel. I got it at a good price for one night to visit Royal Albert Hall. I wasn't expecting great considering the area but it was amazing value for money. The staff on the front desk were lovely and very helpful too. It was a self contained apartment that contained everything you needed for not spending a small fortune in London. I'll definitely be back. Many thanks
Special thank you to John on reception for going above and beyond!nnMy studio was great, it had everything you need and was completely new, good cleaning staff and well maintained building. I stayed on the 7th floor. Fantastic location. Price / quality ratio excellent. The building has a bad rep, but I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed for a month and cannot fault them!
