A brilliant, clean, and safe soft play tucked away inside Putney Leisure Centre. It’s a perfect size for babies and toddlers to build their confidence without being overwhelmed by older kids.nPro-Tips for Your Visit:nAccessibility: You can park your pushchairs on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool right next to the play area.nFacilities: Baby changing is located downstairs, while toilets are conveniently upstairs.nBest Time to Visit: If you go during the week, it’s beautifully quiet—almost like having a private play session!nFeatures: Great sensory lighting, a fun slide, and plenty of soft foam shapes for climbing.nAlways clean and very well-maintained. Highly recommend for a stress-free morning!
They really need to sort out the little black worms in the ladies showers. I have reported it to reception twice in the last year, and I really didn’t want to leave a public bad review, but seriously? Women have the right to a larvae-free shower. Showers also smell of urine at weekends. I can’t speak for the men’s. Otherwise it’s a nice pool, and the staff are friendly. It could be a lot cleaner, though I know money is short in facilities like this
Good gym as everything is in the same room for strength machines which is the best on leg day. Personal trainers here are very kind and polite but the one star is lost because of the toilets , they are disgusting and not clean. The toilet flushes didn’t work. And when you are in the gym you have to go all the way downstairs for the toilet, leaving the gym.
Putney Leisure Centre is in desperate need of a comprehensive revamp. It has clearly been neglected for more than 20 years, with little meaningful improvement since the last changes to the changing rooms. The current state of the facilities reflects prolonged disregard and falls far below acceptable standards for a public leisure centre.nThe women’s changing room, in particular, is tired, uninviting, and unclean. It feels worn down by years of insufficient maintenance, creating an environment that is neither comfortable nor hygienic. The basin in the toilets has been out of order for far too long, signalling a lack of urgency in addressing even basic repairs.nThe shower facilities are wholly inadequate. With only three showers available, they are insufficient to meet demand, and the three extremely small changing cubicles offer little privacy or convenience. The showers themselves are impractical and frustrating to use, as they require users to keep a finger pressed on the button to maintain water flow. Furthermore, the middle shower produces only a trickle of water and urgently requires attention. These issues significantly detract from the overall user experience.nCleanliness is another major concern. The toilet facilities are not cleaned frequently enough, with tissue often strewn across the floor. This creates an unpleasant and unhygienic environment that is unacceptable for a facility serving the local community.nUsing the pool facilities has become an ordeal rather than an enjoyable or beneficial experience. Many users, myself included, rely on this centre and have no alternative, making the situation all the more frustrating. A public leisure facility should promote health, wellbeing, and community pride—not discomfort and disappointment.nA thorough refurbishment, improved maintenance, and stricter cleaning standards are needed.nThis matter deserves prompt attention, and I urge you to prioritise the necessary improvements.
I loved being at PLC, was definitely my favourite gym of all time. Staff are so lovely… Matei, Jerome, Kelly, etc. Great facility with community feel. I trained for my Ironman there and had all the equipment I needed.
