The staff at the Aspire Centre in Merton are absolutely fantastic. Every time I visit, I’m struck by how friendly, welcoming, and genuinely supportive the young people on the front desk are no matter the time of day.nnThere’s a real sense of community here, and that’s down to the people who run it. They’re professional, approachable, and always happy to help or answer my various questions.nnYou can tell they really care about what they do, and it makes such a difference. A huge thank you to the whole team for creating such a positive and inclusive atmosphere!
Have been attending Aqua Aerobics with the lovely Linda and it's always fun and a great workout.nLinda's a fantastic instructor and knows the names of all the people who attend her classes and all new people to the classes are made to feel really welcome .nWould highly recommend Linda's classes.nThe lovely staff on reception are always friendly and helpful and helped me sort out an issue with my monthly pass.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who is serious about wanting to learn swimming.n1. Pool is shut down very often causing classes to be canceled.n2. The manager has no idea what she’s doing - I had my 4 year old in full swim attire and showered, standing at the pool side only to be told that the manager had double booked the instructor for the lesson so I should take my child back home.n3. There’s no room for parents at the poolside. Parents are ushered into a viewing gallery from where it is impossible to view any thing given the state of the glass. I do not know how I’m supposed to figure out how my child is progressing with this setup. Not to mention there is no heat there so the room is freezing!
Poorly maintained pool. My kid's swimming lessons are often a good 50% of the time cancelled at the last minute, with various excuses such as pool temperature too cold, chlorine levels too low, unplanned maintenance work etc. The changing rooms are also dirty, and you can't see anything from the parents' viewing room because of the state of the glass.
I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience dealing with Juliana as the manager. I have sent countless emails regarding my bookings and received no meaningful response. I even provided my phone number, but she has not bothered to contact me at all. This lack of communication is unprofessional and makes the process unnecessarily stressful. A manager should be responsive, reliable, and proactive, unfortunately, Juliana has been the opposite. I expected basic courtesy and follow-up, but instead I’ve been left waiting and ignored. Very disappointing.
