Visited London Bridge last week and had a great time! The iconic structure is even more impressive in person, with stunning views and a lively atmosphere. The weather was perfect, and I enjoyed relaxing by the river with some amazing photo opportunities. The nearby Underground station made it super easy to get around
Fantastic train/tube stationnGood transport linksnClean toiletsnIt's like a mini mallnShops galore
Amazed how many people have reviewed Tower Bridge on what is supposed to be a list of reviews of London Bridge Station! Let me give a more realistic view of the station itself...nnI've been travelling through and to this station for decades, well before the Shard towered over the station so I remember the disaster it was before the rebuild.nnThe rebuild has nicely updated the station, nevertheless, it has also made it in many ways harder to use. The key thing you want to do at London Bridge is change platforms easily. There used to be a convenient footbridge between platforms 1-6 and that has been removed and is dearly missed.nnToday, everyone has to funnel down a the escalators and stairs to all use the same cavern of a concourse and at rush hour, the platforms become almost dangerously swamped as a result as you get some real bottlenecks at the top of the escalators. This alone now makes it an unpleasant places to change trains unless you know where to exit the train to charge for the stairs!nnSecondly, the toilets are now outside of the ticket barriers so are useless if you change trains here or experience a delay, especially if you use Pay As you Go as you have to swipe out and in again and get charged accordingly.nnIn conclusion, looks nice, clean and modern update but functionally, no real improvement.nnNo ways is this at time of writing a 4.4* average station. TOWER Bridge not London Bridge is a far better experience, and the number of reviews and photos of the wrong bridge is skewing the average here I feel.
Excellent staff here, really helpful. Station is clean and tidy , litter free. Information boards are provided in multiple locations and are easily read.
This was a fantastic station for both arrival and departure, with lengthy platforms for the trains! The station has a modern design and large departure boards that are kept up to date, platforms signs are well kept too. Very large and easy to navigate around, cleanliness was maintained!
