London Bridge Railway Station, one of the oldest and busiest railway stations in London, stands as a significant transport hub with a rich history and modern amenities. The station's strategic location near the iconic London Bridge and the Shard makes it a vital link for commuters and tourists alike.nLondon Bridge Station boasts excellent connectivity, serving both national rail services and the London Underground. It is a key interchange for Southeastern and Thameslink services, providing direct connections to destinations such as Gatwick Airport, Brighton, and Luton. The Underground station, served by the Jubilee and Northern lines, further enhances its accessibility across the city. The new concourse is spacious, well-lit, and equipped with clear signage, making navigation easy even during peak hours. Numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants cater to the needs of travelers, offering a range of dining and retail options. Additionally, the station provides essential amenities like free Wi-Fi, ticketing services, and accessible facilities for passengers with disabilities.nThe glass and steel structure of the new concourse allows natural light to flood the space, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The preservation of Victorian-era arches alongside modern construction highlights the station's historical significance while meeting current demands. The staff are helpful, and real-time information displays keep travelers well-informed about train schedules and platform changes. However, like any major transport hub, it can get crowded during rush hours, and occasional delays are not uncommon.nLondon Bridge Railway Station effectively combines historical charm with modern efficiency, serving as a crucial node in London's transport network. Its extensive connectivity, modern facilities, and thoughtful design make it a commendable station that caters well to the needs of both daily commuters and visitors to the city. Despite occasional congestion, the overall experience is positive, making it one of London's standout railway stations.
This train station is easy to navigate, thanks to clear signage. If you have a credit card that works in the UK, you can tap to enter at the checkpoint and pay at the exit checkpoint at your destination.
i had a member of staff rudely refuse to help me upon requesting if i could retrieve my ticket from the gate for logging reasons, she responded to me in a tone that was belittling and rude as if i was an idiot for asking such a question, she effectively shoed me away. I plan on avoiding this station as much as i can from this point as a result, i do not feel comfortable giving any form of support to a station with such ignorant and unfriendly, unhelpful, unprofessional staff that very clearly do not want to be there.
Good place to visit but it's a pity the text explaining the many exhibits are not near the top of the glass cabinets as well as the bottom.nWhen people are reading the text at the bottom other people cannot see the explanatory text and waiting for them to move can be irritating.
I was sitting eating a sandwich minding my own business when a cleaner came and hit my feet with her mop instead of just asking me to move my feet. Not acceptable. She then started shouting after I got up and left the station.
