My friends and I were visiting from the USA in August to attend a wedding in Bolton, UK. We purchased our tickets from Trainline Travel Company website in the USA and we had assigned seats. The train station was clean, many food outlets but it was extremely busy and crowded. We were able to find seats while waiting and the staff there were very polite and helpful. We were told to check the monitors for departure of our train. We constantly checked the monitors for the departure of our train and when its was posted, the platform for the train was announced less than 7 minutes before departure. This format appeared disastrous because there was a crowd and everyone was running to get into the train. This causes problem with passengers standing in the isle and hindering passengers who have assigned seats to find their seats. We had assigned seats and our coach was at the front of the train. Yes, we ran too because the doors were about to be closed. Personally, I think they need to be more organized with how passengers get on those trains. With their current format, passengers are going to get hurt. If I happened to visit London in the future, I will not by any means utilize the Euston, London train station.
London Euston Station was a bustling hub of activity when we arrived. Despite the crowds of travellers coming and going, it was easy to find our way around. And the best part? The toilets were free to use!
There’s a free to use piano. A Burger King , an Upper Crust a Panopolis and a The Pastry Shop as well as a Book shop. Free Wi-Fi is strong and there’s a free ATM near platform 13. Plenty of seats to park one’s derrière. They have just this last week returned to the sensible platform and timetable large display
It's a good station with nice facilities. There's a spacious waiting area with screens, and cafes where you can grab coffee and snacks.
I do find the inside a bit dark and oppressive but there is a good seating area outside with the same arrivals/departures boards as inside. There are several different food options on the first floor and a decent variety of shops on the ground floor.
