Visited London Euston at around 1:30am and it was surprisingly calm and peaceful. The station was quiet, clean and felt safe even at that time. Not busy at all which made everything easy and smooth. I also captured a short video of the moment because the vibe felt different from the usual rush. Still running well even late at night, really nice experience.
Convenient and usually clean station, staff have always been polite. Toilet facilities generally under equipped, the traffic light cubicles for men is an improvement but its always at capacity. Womens's always look full. The full timing boards are good, generally speaking no where near enough seating for people waiting, it gets clogged up very easy. HS2 works also been going on a while and are no sign up clearing up. Needs more seating please, as a realistic goal
Very busy train station in London located just a few blocks away from St.Pancras Int'l and King's Cross... All three serve different directions and areas of UK and Europe.
I know they're in the middle of an upgrade but sorting out the ground floor seating area should have been a priority. Lots, in fact, the majority of those I saw had suitcases.nWho ever designed this seating area has obviously never been travelling with a suitcase out of Euston or has only ever forked out to be able to sit in the 1st Class lounge. What a shambles. Unless you're lucky to bag a front seat then it's a game of manoeuvring between people suitcases and buggies to cram yourself into the narrow seating rows. Then the seats next to people with suitcases are unusable because there is a suitcase blocking access. So if you're travelling from Euston be prepared to stand whilst waiting for your train.nAnd if you're going to have an 11am fire/security test then don't just put it on the board. THAT IS NOT HELPFUL to those that have not seen it, have vision issues and those do not read English. I did see the notice. The ensuring rush for the exits when the test came meant there were lots of people who were unaware it was a test.nHow much do we pay for our tickets? Practice proper customer service.
My experience at London Euston Station was very disappointing, especially while travelling with luggage. I found it very difficult to move around with bags, and the overall passenger experience was not comfortable at all. For a major railway station in London, I expected better arrangements for travellers, especially families and tourists carrying suitcases.nThe station felt crowded and stressful, and moving luggage through the station was not easy. The walking areas, escalators, lifts, and platform access could be much better managed. When passengers are travelling long distance, they usually carry bags, and the station should provide smoother access, clearer guidance, and better support.nI also felt that the station was not very traveller-friendly compared to other major stations. The signage and passenger flow could be improved, and during busy times it becomes even more difficult. Carrying luggage through crowded areas was tiring and frustrating.nFor international tourists and families, this kind of experience creates unnecessary stress before or after a train journey. A station like Euston should have better luggage-friendly facilities, more helpful guidance, and easier movement between entrances, platforms, and waiting area
