The room was amazing! Really stylish. We had a meal in the steak house, the best steak we have ever eaten. The pub below, Beer and skittles was excellent. One bartender in particular was so welcoming and funny he made our night! Excellent experience. Definitely recommend!

I walked into our room and seriously thought I had gotten the wrong room...the front desk staff gave us a free upgrade, and the room was massive! The bathroom alone was about the size of our entire hotel room in London. It was a fantastic room for a great price, and perfectly located in central Edinburgh. We could easily walk to Edinburgh Castle and many shops, and staying in the townhouse where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born is a definite plus! The only unfortunate thing was that there is a sports bar right outside our (giant) windows, so we could hear the outside guests and I would get a whiff of fried food every once in a while, but it wasn't enough to bother me. The room had massive heavy curtains to draw over the windows to block light and sound, and I sleep with a fan on (which was also conveniently in the room) so the noise never bothered me. My husband and I are already wanting to come back to Scotland and make sure we stay in this same hotel after the fantastic experience we've had!

Loved this hotel, was in perfect central location. Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were beautiful with high ceilings and a great view. Only down point is the single glazing which allows noise to come in, something that can't be helped but closing the curtains did help.

Amazing hotel: wonderful room, great size (also the bathroom) and everything you might need. Very friendly staff, convenient location to walk to the Old Town and to take a tram to/from the airport, 24-hour grocery store next door besides restaurant and bar at the hotel. Really awesome!
