I enjoyed staying here. The location is GREAT! You're right in the heart of the city centre, it doesn't get much better than that. The environment is pretty clean, reception staff were very helpful to me, and the breakfast was nice, with a reasonable variety of selections of food. Keep in mind, however, that this is not included in your accommodation fee, and you have to pay additionally for breakfast. Food served ranges from bacon, eggs, baked beans, and others in a buffet. There is no room service unless you specifically request it, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. Additionally, there's a provision for luggage storage before or after your check-in or checkout, which is very convenient. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.
Location of this hotel was perfect for our visit to the Playhouse and within easy walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable and to the expected standard. We were also able to get gluten free toast in the morning was a welcome find as it is not always availableRooms: 4/5
Stayed for two nights in September 2022 Nice clean and well placed hotel. Room was comfy, quiet and warm. Staff seemed happy in their roles. One star lost as- Tissues instead of toilet roll just doesn’t work. The breakfast wasn’t up to the usual standard that we have come to expect at Premier inn- Sausages were disgusting but that’s personal preference and due to the whole room blowing cold air the food soon went cold. On the evening I had to wait a significant time to get a drink at the bar as the poor lad was rushing around serving meals as well as running the bar. When I was eventually served the gas had gone off so opted for a bottle drink instead.
Best hotel I’ve stayed in when visiting Edinburgh. Room was very spacious, clean and bed was super super comfortable. Kettle to make cup of tea and coffee. A nice bath. Breakfast was really nice. The room had such a relaxing vibe, I didn’t want to leave.Rooms: 5/5
Exceeded Premier Inn standards.... sadly the usual standard of Premier Inn is lower elsewhere these days. Great staff, clean rooms and good location. One of the better Premier Inns. Food was probably the only slight negative. My curry has the constancy of dish water. It tasted good though.
Fantastic value for money. Central to everything . Rooms clean, spacious and has everything you need. Bed was comfy. Staff were great . Will stay here again, also the view was brilliant from room 406.Rooms: 5/5
Great price. Got 2 family rooms with unlimited breakfast. 2 adults and 4 kids. Only issue is that I booked both rooms under 1 name however originally our rooms were on different floors. The lady tried to help by arranging for the rooms to be on the same floor. However they were like 6 rooms apart. Abit annoying as we were 1 family. She did mention that we have 2 family rooms with a door between them but it's booked and you should have called us and we would have arranged it. That's all fine and dandy but they never give you that option online, and you can't ask if you don't know about it. Don't want to be a bother secondly as a booking system goes it was booked together and paid for under 1 payment so it should have recognised that at least the rooms should be on the same floor if not together. That's my only issue. The breakfast was ok. But the cooked option wasn't very good. No French toast etc. But this was my first time trying a cooked breakfast from premier Inn. Maybe they all are like that. I normally just go for the continental option. Overall I'm happy. It cost £160 for 2 family rooms with breakfast. Total of 6 people. Rooms were clean. Toilets etc were clean. Towels clean. No issues with noise etc. Only thing we were in the basement so reception was quite bad. I would book again, but this time I'll ring in first lol
A good hotel with everything you need. Had the breakfast which was ok with plenty of choice. The only downside of the hotel was the fire doors banging shut even with slow closers during the quiet time. Nearby activities: On the door step Edinburgh, 2 min walk up to Princess Street.
Stayed 30 - 2nd January as a couple, had a brilliant stay. Staff that checked us in on the afternoon of 30th were super friendly, helpful and made us feel at ease. Throughout stay all staff were helpful in arranging towels etc. when asked. Recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Very clean nothing to moan about the room they need more people on the bar and check in desk as it was one running both abit slow on the cooking but everything else is great
