The staff were the best part of this hotel - welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in good repair and you could request amenities (like hairdryers) from the front desk. However, there was only one double socket in the room, which is a significant drawback these days! The front desk did loan us a an extension lead which gave us an additional socket, but it was still tricky to juggle charging phones drained from full days of taking photos and navigating via GPS.

Stayed here with the kids over half term. Fiona booked us in early with a lovely smile! Clean room, comfy beds and ALL of the staff were pleasant, helpful and smiling. Perfect location at the end of Princes Street, near Calton Hill, very close to the station, so easy to carry bags to. Left luggage just requires a charity (British Heart Foundation) donation. This is a brilliant idea, so as we had a late train we did not have to carry our stuff about all day. Thank you to the staff here, we had a lovely time.
