The George has always been one of our most favourite hotels. Great central location with the only drawback to that being the parking issue.
Service is always good, but some bedrooms are better than others. It has at times felt like a bit of a lottery when it comes to what room you end up in. Some are excellent, some less so.
Love the breakfast but have seldom eaten dinner in here. Too much choice in town I guess.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Hotel staff are extremely welcoming and willing to attend to our every need. We visited for Christmas so everywhere was decorated to put you in the festive mood. Hotel was very clean and tidy and in a prime location. Located in the New Town with all the high street shops made Christmas shopping easy, but if you had enough of the hustle and fancied something different, Old Town was just a short 5 minutes walk away. The staff made our short Christmas stay at this hotel magical and we are already planning to visit again next year.

Gorgeous hotel, love the style. Rooms very well done. Staff were great and very attentive. Only criticism is the interconnected rooms. We had to request a new room as we were connected at either side and the other guests were extremely noisy. Thankfully the reception staff gave us a room upgrade on the top floor which was lovely!

Good location. Staff excellent. Bedroom well furnished and comfortable but quite cold as difficult to regulate heat. En suite bathroom very small and nowhere to hang or dry towels. One price  (£14.95) for breakfast even if only wanting continental. Evening meal in restaurant good.

Great location. Very helpful staff. Good food. Would have given 5* but we had noisy neighbours! View from room 753 is amazing, over looking a large chunk of Edinburgh. You can also see the sea. Would  use the hotel again.
