It was okay! It was clean and lucky ones will even have a quite nice view. Do not book the continental breakfast. It was not good, but dinners were therefore really good. Especially the vegetarian option was great! There was always a dessert for dinner as well which tasted really good. I wish the food would have been all in all more Scottish or British.

Very good location near the city centre. The restaurant is good. We like to self cater using the basement kitchen and seating area. We visit a couple of times a year.

Reasonably central location if you didn't mind walking a little in Edinburgh for an extremely good price. The rooms (private ensuite) were reasonable and clean, the toilet/shower was a little small. The staff were friendly and helpful. They charged for luggage storage (with a paid locker system), I suppose that's reasonable given they are a hostel. Parking is a pain though! Probably not a great option if you're driving!

Great downstairs area for hanging out and meeting people, big kitchen with plenty of utensils for cooking own food. Rooms are super clean and quiet, lockers for each person. Internet is a bit slow, password changes every day, sometimes twice. Overall in a great spot, bus stop right outside and easy walking distance to attractions like the Royal Mile.
