The Hotel Indigo Edinburgh is an upscale boutique hotel located in the city centre of the Scottish capital.

Story

Our hotel lies within the Edinburgh UNESCO World Heritage site and occupies five original Georgian townhouses. We have preserved many of the original features including decorative stairwells and a unique cupola. The chic and contemporary interior reflects the life and vibrancy of Edinburgh today. There are 60 individual bedrooms and junior suites to choose from and our regular guests have their firm favourites. All enjoy our sumptuous comfort and style
Edinburgh is a city of festivals and we are home to the world’s most amazing celebrations of music, comedy, literature and art. These festivals have been the launchpad for some of the most celebrated talent and every visitor finds something to intrigue, amaze and delight them.
On our street is the birthplace of Arthur Conan Doyle who gripped six successive generations with his tales of Sherlock Holmes. While author Robert Louis Stevenson, renowned for his book Treasure Island grew up round the corner and Alexander McCall chose to set his 44 Scotland Street Novels just a short walk away from the hotel.
Everything is on the doorstep! We are ideally located for the Royal Mile, Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. Enjoy a visit to the Scottish National Gallery, the Scottish Poetry Library and we can help you get tickets for the latest shows at the Edinburgh Playhouse. We really like the Scottish Storytelling Centre because here at Hotel Indigo we have our own proud tradition of storytelling.
