Excellent location. Not too far away from shopping, bars and restaurants, but far enough away from the noise of people leaving pubs and clubs in the early hours not to be disturbed. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and the beds were comfy. I would stay again.

Great location to walk almost anywhere in the city - the Castle is less than a 20 minute walk. We have previously stayed in the Old Town but it was lovely to experience the New Town this time round. If I was returning I'd stay in this area for sure. While Princes Street is too busy for my liking, just round the corner on Queens Street this Travelodge is in a much quieter setting opposite the gardens. As well as being able to walk to all tourist destinations, there are great bars, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. We loved Rabble and the Queens Arms which are both on Fredrick Street around the corner from the hotel (turn left out of the Travelodge walk to the end of the road then left again). The Dome is slightly further (just under 10min walk) but well worth a visit for an incredible, luxury setting for all day food and drink. Hanover Street (turn right out of the hotel, walk to the end of the road then right) also had some great looking cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were all so friendly and helpful. There was even extra tea and milk ready for us to take back to the room when we got in - a nice touch! Rooms were basic but functional - even had a built in bottle opener! The bed was very comfy and the room was clean & tidy. Only downside is that the walls aren't very soundproof so you can hear doors closing & opening when people arrive. Luckily we didn't hear much of this so if didn't effect the stay. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would book again myself. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay!

fantastic location lovely quiet street away from all of the house of the bars but still only a 10 minute walk from princes street

Very nice hotel, rooms were lovely and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. No noise through the night to disturb you
