Clean dorms, nice vibe in the bar, 24/7 reception. Busy and not the most conducive for making new friends. Great location though with one of the best views of Edinburgh Castle.

Comfy bed linen provided and showers clean and modern. Rooms well kept and people friendly. Great vibe and tools and other stuff available for very small extra cost!! Great place for one night or a longer stay.

It's good enough for short visitor for 1 to 3 nights. Hostel has minimum required thing for short traveler. Staff is also good. Kitchen is also very good. Toilets are ok, it depends what time you plan to use those (peak hours or non peak hours :) )

Very nice location and friendly staff with affordable prices. However I don't recommend the 30 people dorm as it is cheap but very difficult to get more than 2 hours sleep straight because people are always coming in and out (except if you are a very deep sleeper). Overall cleanliness quite good otherwise !

There are many many thieves in this hostel. They stole my Jack Daniels bottle in the kitchen. Someone stole my friend’s wallet. That was terrible. If you like your belongings DO NOT STAY THIS HOSTEL!!!
