A much improved stay this time. We paid an extra 10 pounds to get a better and quieter room and it was well worth it. There is a reasonably priced breakfast package on offer too, although we opted to eat out. A great location on the junction and you can easily walk to the railway station.Rooms: 5/5
An excellent location, which is moments away from Clapham Junction. This is a smaller hotel than other Travelodge locations, with the rooms also significantly smaller. I feel that my room on a high floor helped to reduce the noise from the trains passing by in close proximity. Unfortunately, the rooms lack air conditioning. In hotter months, keeping the window closed to reduce the noise might cause discomfort.
Had a meeting in London early morning so booked a stay here the night before due to its location, paid £95 for a twin room only thing available last min booking Doesn’t have secure parking but can park for free on street next to it up until 8:30am. No cafe or bar or anything like other travelodge sites. Really loud at night, due to bar few doors down and railway opposite but if like me just wanted somewhere to sleep for the night, it’s fine. Good point was the night clerk, really friendly and checked me in quickly.
Located less than a 5 minute walk, from Clapham Junction Station. Good location, if you need quick access to the station or want fast travel into Central London. Rooms are very basic, bed and bathroom shower only unless you’re in a family room, small freeview TV. As expected, you will be hearing trains all night window open or closed. The hotel has very little ventilation and rooms can become very stuffy, the window has a security lock on so can only be opened ajar. The staff do understand this and did provide a fan which was very helpful. Our keycard stopped working 2-3 times which is slightly annoying, however, the staff are very friendly and will do what they can to help you.
The Indian gentleman can’t recall his name was very polite and friendly. He let me check in 55 minutes ⏱ earlier than allowed. There’s an issue when having showers After each shower the bathroom was filled with water Safety: Nobody can get in without your room card which’s absolutely great
My most pleasant surprise the fantastic coffee machine in the room. Room compact but spotless clean comfy bed good bathroom, only improvement would be a fridge. Happily stay here again. Nga mihi Rooms: 4/5
I stayed at Travelodge Clapham Junction for 3 nights for work. The hotel is very close to Clapham Junction railway station and local shops and restaurants. Conveniently next to a large LIDL supermarket. Standard Travelodge hotel, cheap and cheerful. Ask for a hairdryer at reception. Rooms: Very small rooms however there was a full length mirror ish and table for tea making facilities. The shower was very bizarre - effectively a shower tray with a long floor-length curtain that folds into the tray. Even with the best will in the world, water does spill onto the floor. No hairdryer in the room, standard Travelodge. It can be requested at reception. Nearby activities: Very close to Clapham Junction railway station. Close to the high street with many shops and restaurants. A LIDL is just across the road from the hotel - convenient for snacks. Noteworthy details: Lift available. Also a vending machine in reception.
Avoid if possible! This is a sub-standard hotel that relies heavily upon its location to charge unreasonable prices for what it provides. I checked in here last week and was greeted by a very helpful and friendly member of staff, though the experience rapidly went downhill when I checked into my room. It was around 20 degrees outside not super warm but the room was roasting! Travelodge are well aware of this as there was a sign saying how windows had been left open, duvet removed, lights kept off, etc. to make the room cooler. The bathroom was dated and the toilet felt like it was going to break any second. The shower curtain didn't tuck into the shower tray so water dripped everywhere during the shower a remarkable amount dripped given the shower head was mostly blocked and didn't release much water at all. I expected a lot more, having paid almost £100 per room for a Thursday
I stayed for 1 week and Bozena at the reception was helpful and always with a smile ready to help. However, the only dark spot is that there is no air conditioning system and was really hot at times. Great location. Walkability: Station nearby.
Great mid range hotel! The bedroom and toilet were comfortable and clean. The receptionists were nice.Rooms: 5/5
