We had a great time in a duplex suite as a family of four. We arrived early 9am hoping to drop some bags off but the lovely receptionist advised our room was ready and we could check in straight away. The central air is awaiting refurbishment but a portable a/c unit and fan made our room very comfortable. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The kids especially enjoyed the pancake machine and the grownups loved the bean to cup coffee! The room was clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel for us was in the ideal spot. Close walking distance to restaurants, the tube, pharmacy and two museums. The hotel although we didn't explore much was clean and well kept. The rooms were nice and clean as well. Breakfast at the hotel was good, and the staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. My only ought is, that it is spooky walking through the hallways with the motion sensor lights. I understand, were making the world a better place by saving energy... but its too dark at times. Other than that a great place to visit.
We had such a lovely stay at this hotel. All the staff were so friendly and the customer service was excellent. The staff did a lovely birthday surprise for my fiancé and daughter which was so cute. The room was clean and spacious, the pillows and bed were very comfy. Breakfast was delicious lots of choices and very fresh. The hotel was in a great location for us too with an underground literally a minute away. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff.
The room was in good condition with an air conditioning unit pulled in for the heatwave. Reception staff were friendly and gave some warm cookies to the kids to make the late arrival a bit easier. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the outdoor bar area to the rear was beautiful but hard to figure out whether the staff doing rounds would take an order or if we had to go into the bar. There was a party reserved in the secret beach area also and the kids couldn’t play there. Outside of that everything was great. Fantastic location near the museums and tube.
I made my reservation for 28 January - 1 February. But I was a little worried when it came to review review. I am planning a happy and peaceful holiday with my children. I don't want to stay in a cold room or run into complex problems like what's written here. But I usually trust people's good employees and motivation for employment. Most of the time, kindness and humor wins. I hope that after the celebration comes tomorrow, I can end my holiday with the energy and happiness I came from. They will go to this. : 5 stars in advance.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially during breakfast where they gave our toddler an activity pack to keep him occupied. The breakfast was excellent, good variety. Our room was large with 2 comfortable double beds and the heating kept it nice and warm. The secret garden was nice, we had dinner their one night in a pod nicely decorated for Christmas with fairy lights etc. Location is great and had a lovely Lebanese meal nearby.
Fantastic hotel and exceptional service, only to be expected. Will visits London and use hotel again without doubt. Received free upgrade, due to being Honors member and had a duplex room which was just fantastic, came with extra of executive lounge. We couldn't make use of it the first night, but sampled it the on the second and it was really good. Housekeeping staff were second to none, we didn't need the room cleaning for a short weekend, but they couldn't be more helpful to ensure we weee comfortable, No single member of staff can be singled out as all really good!
I enjoyed an afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco! My friend and I had a pod to ourselves, it was a wonderful experience. The sun shone, the waitresses smiled and only came to the table to serve, once to check and let us know how much time we had left, you get 2 hours and once to clear. It was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. The setting was so quiet, you wouldn't believe the hotel sits on a major London road. The gardens back onto a lovely small church and there is a choice of seating. One area has been made into a beach setting; one undercover, so it's as if you're abroad on holiday and then the garden with the pods and tables for tea. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you.
Arrived at the hotel end of August for a two day break and found the aic con wasn't working, they had provided portable air con in every room which was just not doing the job! Luckily we didn't spend too long in the room, however what was really disappointing about this hotel was that I forgot my jacket in the wardrobe 100% certain as wife saw it minutes before check out, when I went back in the day to collect they could not find it and didn't even know where house keeping leave lost property! I called daily for several days and sent emails to manager but till this day have not heard back. Shocking service and no attempt made to locate my property!
Clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. However, location, location, location tops the list of reasons to stay at this hotel. Lots of great restaurants and convenience stores on the same street and the Gloucester Station right around the corner. Our only complaint was that the room temperature was controlled by a window air unit, that had to run constantly to keep the room a decent temperature, and it was unfortunately very loud.
