Confirmed 15:40 appointment for Covid booster today. Get to the clinic to be told Doctors went home at 13:00. Had some missed calls on my phone, presume it was them telling me not to come? No voice message is left. No further appointments. I am a wheelchair user and struggled to get to the appointment today. I don't drive. Not impressed.
The Nurses need an attitude adjustment, Nabila runs a depot clinic but has very poor customer service skills.
I had a spine MRI scan before X'Mas 2023, I was very grateful for the care and kindness extended to me by Gabrial and his colleage. I know they had go above and beyond to try to make it as comfortable as it could be given my nevervousness, and on going pain and the need to lie still for an hour. They were professional all the way through even with the tight schedule. Thank you so so much.
I have the same issue like someone who already mentioned here about bringing the child for the mri appointment . I missed my MRI SCAN appointment today because of this reason They are very unprofessional and not having any helping mentality which all the health care professionals have to show. They should mention it on the letter Please avoid choosing this site for your appointment Waste of time, money and effort
Worst experience at this hospital ever as a single parent. On my letter there was nothing at all stated about not bringing a child with you to the appointment. Very inconsiderate and biased for single parents what if I didn't have anyone to watch my son or afford a baby sitter. This is how people's health deteriorates and they die from illness due to a lack of measures put in place. Came here with my child to have an MRI Scan got here 15mins before my actual appointment for them to tell me they can't do the scan due to me having my son with me. He's not going a baby more than cable of sitting in reception until im done. Secondly they wouldn't even wait for my mum to come and sit with him so they could do my scan absolutely appalling service. I will be taking this further and making a complaint against all members of staff and the hospital as a whole.
Went for MRI was seen before time Very understanding and helpful radiographers Thank you for finding and safe keeping the cap I left behind Really appreciate it! Many thanks
Mental health services. Well, you tried at least. I'm a very complex case but I think truly listening to patients is essential. I have been diagnosed with congenital brain damage, but generally cmhts will conflate neurological issues with psychiatric disturbance. I have severe difficulties accessing all of the NHS and my NHS utility decreased dramatically during using the cmht and at the end I left because I couldn't take it anymore. Medical and nursing schools, and social work do not seem to train mental health oriented staff that neurological injury is far more common and physical causes for mental health can be rare and not in the bog standard list. In "behaviour" has a reason, even if the person is 'choosing' it, why are they 'choosing' it? Find out. I have now been diagnosed with severe cPTSD due to a childhood I wish on absolutely nobody, and my adulthood continued to give me no reason to trust anyone and no reason to go to services for 'help'. "There is no help but my own ability to DIY my life" I say to people. I have recently found a charity who saved my sanity and life from being destructed. Honestly the staff in NHS mental health are humans and will respond to their environment and training, and I don't see aberrant personality in more than I do. But, improve medical education systems in mental health. Physical illness should be treated as a priority no matter what the persons diagnoses are. High intensity users have a reason and behaviourism does not work. The behaviourist method drives us away into an off the radar lifestyle. Listen to us. Respect us. Don't make assumptions. I am fortunately extremely good at self teaching and have extremely high ability in STEM topics. I never was able to get a job but I got a pharmacology degree against all the odds, in 8 years. My uni was more helpful to my mental health than the cmht. The cmht caused my mental health to get so bad that self discharging improved my mental health a lot. However now I cannot tolerate any official support and find my own in the charity, private when I can afford it, and online. Medical / mental health education needs to improve, and pay too. That's where it all starts. Also mental health is not a vacuum. It has causes, genetic, physical, trauma, neurological.... The number of studies I've seen that have found genetic/physical/neurological issues in "mental health patients" who would generally be treated like a mental health problem is shocking.
I always have a very bad experience when ever I have had to call. I have family members with mental illness and recently a care co-ordinator named angelica was so rude to my mum. my mum called her to ask for help and to ask why my brother hasnt improved at all in the last year the care co ordinator instead blamed my mother and said ' you can't even look after your son'. We have been battling with my brothers mental illness for 10 years and this is how they speak to us. when ever I asked for advice she refused to give me any. I don't understand how this place has people like this working for them. this isn't the first time as I said, i have other family members with mentall illnesses and my experience has always been the worst. enough is enough. do something about it so familys dont have to suffer and get unwell too
Stupid and irrational. I drove 40 minutes to get my second vaccine and despite all other events allowing 2nd vaccine after 5 weeks and there being NO QUEUE, they turned me away. Waste of time.
Booked a booster jab for 20:30, my husband for 20:50, showed up and saw 30+ confused looking people standing around. Apparently the centre shut at 19:30. Appointments were available until past 21:00! Organisers should be ashamed.
