This afternoon I received wonderful help and service from Terri on reception over the phone. She was able to get me a phone consultation with a doctor for this afternoon to ensure I don't miss out on receiving my medication before I go on an overseas holiday. Transferred from CO group practice. However I’ve decided to transfer back as the booking system here is incredibly frustrating. It seems easy enough with an online form which then you get a link to book off the back of filling out the form but the link then just says ‘no appointments’ - so it’s not very helpful at all. Then on the phone they are quite rude and can also only book for the week in advance in the day you call. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Just moved to the area and was looking for a practice to transfer to, unfortunately came across an extremely rude receptionist when I went in to enquire. Cold, rude and unfriendly, I immediately looked for an alternative surgery even though this is minutes from my place. I’m sure the Drs are fine, but your front of house represents you. Some customer care CPD would be in order for some of your staff.
The GPs are good when you get to see them but the service at the desk is hideous. No smiles, very abrupt, receptionists refer to you by your DOB, do not keep you updated when the GP is running late.

I would just like to say your practice has changed my life. Every little interaction or large help I have received from the practice has gone above and beyond in helping me. From Ed in admin, the reception team who are all very helpful, patient and respectful to Dr Doshi and Dr Calais who have prioritised my care to the utmost degree. I didn’t know NHS care like this was possible and it has really shifted my perspective.
Blood tests Mini, the phlebotomist, is without doubt the BEST I have had blood drawn by, and I have to have many. She is gentle, seldom leaves any mark and gets the blood on the first stick. Without doubt, she is simply the best!
Do not register for this practice. They will not make an appointment for a young baby. Look for an alternative one locally. You have to apply to see a doctor they will not give you an appointment until you explain the problem in writing and even demand photographs to decide if it’s worth their time. This is today’s NHS in Balham. The reception team are not allowed to make in person appointments.
A negligent practice with uncaring, jobs-worthy receptionists that refuse to give you appointments. I have massively deteriorated due to an inefficient process that attempts to diagnose you online. I was told repeatedly that my chest symptoms were likely viral. I ended up going to another clinic and saw a doctor who said I was verging on pneumonia and urgently needed antibiotics. I am now on my 2nd round of antibiotics and despite seeing a lovely doctor last week who said I should come back if I deteriorate, the receptionists are now blocking appointments. Incredibly disappointing.
I will always be honest with reviews and really don't want to leave any negative reviews unless I really have to. I would like to say a big thank you to Dr Albeyatti who I actually managed to get a face to face appointment with. She was very helpful and showed empathy for the pain I have been going through. I am still in pain but what a big difference it makes just being able to speak to someone face to face and not just fill out forms in the hope of getting a telephone appointment. She prescribed me more pain relief and has reassured me about different treatments we can try after my scan so thank you doctor for your time and patience, it has made a huge difference to me and makes me realise why it is still so important to be able to still have the option of actually seeing a doctor.
