I was 10mins late for an appointment for the first time since I joined this GP surgery 12 years ago. The receptionist told me straight away that they couldn’t see me. She then emailed the doctor to ask her if she could see me but the doctor said no. I didn’t argue with the receptionist because I just couldn’t believe what was happening!! Every time I had appointments in the past I was made to wait more than an hour and sometimes longer than that. It is very difficult to get an appointment and I dread calling because the receptionists are always, always rude and unhelpful. I used to think that they were only rude to me because I come from a different background, but now I know that this happens a lot at TMC and I almost feel better that it’s not just me!
Seriously, how many bad reviews and complaints does it take for the GP’s to sort their receptionists out? The two old hags on reception need to retire already, not an ounce of empathy in each of them! Train them and discipline when necessary or get rid and get new staff that care! Impossible to book an advanced appointment also, wtaf is this nonsense you can only book at 8am, load of rubbish! Worst GP surgery ever! GP’s don’t wanna see anyone and receptionists rude, honestly if you have an illness it’s quicker to go to A and E! Over paid w*****s!
I’m genuinely surprised at all the negative reviews. I’ve only had good experiences with this surgery. Their appointment system is a lot more streamlined and they’re very responsive to online messages. The GPs are professional and helpful.
What is it about local GP's that they must recruit impolite, even outright rude receptionists? Something I have noted far and wide... The instantly upon sight patronising tone, or plain bossy - Ridiculous, I am a customer not YOUR underling. The two on duty this time openly shared a not really private giggle, as if addressing an idiot. Cancelled and will look for a new GP place
I've been a patient here for a very long time, Jane, one of the receptionists is always so helpful to me, I normally see Dr Butt and he is very professional and knowledgable.
At the hardest time of my life, I saw very busy people, stopping and listening with care and attention to what I was saying. Probably, I didn’t even know what I needed, but they did, and throughly helped me. 5 stars to the Front Desk Staff and the doctor, which was on of the kindest persons I have ever met. Well done. Thank you.
CLOSE THIS GP SURGERY!!!! The staff at the reception are disgustingly rude. They speak to you as if you’re a child !!!! They are getting paid for their job and don’t know how to speak with manners please avoid this surgery at all costs. I have been a patient at this surgery for over 20 years and have nothing but praise for the care and treatment myself and my family have received. I have always been able to get an appointment and the receptionists over the years have been most helpful. The doctors have been caring and professional. This year my husband was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor he saw was amazing. Recently I have seen Dr Jeong who was absolutely lovely. She listened so well and was very thorough. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Hi, I've never felt really supported at this medical centre and really want to go back to my old GP. I believe they tend to be more a supportive to elderly patients but not when your younger and they cannot see what is visibly wrong with you. I merely asked for a GP letter for my employer so they had confirmation of the time I needed off from work, to recover from my operation. I had two major surgeries after I had a mastectomy on my right breast and an immediate reconstruction. My surgeon at the hospital told me, I would need the minimum of 8 weeks off from work and to be kind to myself. You see, I've always work from age of 17 years to now, and never taking much time off work. I also work through the whole of the pandemic supporting children and families, and having face to face contactm even before I received the PPE. But despite this, they decline from doing so, and stated they had no contact from me for months or from the hospital which is simply not true. So, during my recovery, I've learnt that I need further treatment for my health cancer concerns. This is difficult for me financially as without a gp letter I cannot receive any financial support from my employer. So now I am worrying regarding my health, treatment and money. Not a great place to be in at all. However, thanks to Macmillan Cancer support they have supported me through this, giving me advice and help, and theyvwill be in touch with this medical centre soon.
It's my chosen surgery and I'm totally happy with the service, the receptionist are friendly and helpful, you can have your blood tested and the nurse is very good, usually I get massive bruised, not with this nurse, she is very good, gentle and helpful
