The hotel is in a perfect location for the theatre district and for the National Gallery. The location is also very quiet, great for a light sleeper, yet within a few minutes walking you are in all the hustle and bustle of London. The staff at the hotel are excellent, very friendly and efficient. The room was of a good size, well appointed and most importantly very clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is wide ranging and of an excellent quality. There is a nice bar in the hotel open to non-residents and was busy at the weekend. I did find the music a little bit loud making it difficult for a conversation if you happened to sit under a speaker, I thought the loud music distracted from the ambiance. Please do note that if you are a cocktail aficionado they are on the pricey side at £15+, as a non cocktail drinker maybe I’m out of touch on current prices. I would highly recommend staying at The Bloomsbury, I wouldn’t hesitate staying there the next time I visit London. Walkability: Short walk to theatres and the national gallery
My experience at the Bloomsbury Hotel was outstanding. From the warm welcome I received from Eva at the front desk to Ivan's excellent recommendations for day trips including some fantastic pub suggestions, every detail exceeded my expectations. Antonio and Lurasc also made every arrival and departure a pleasant one with their genuine hospitality. Truly top-notch service all around. The room itself was superb—spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with the added bonus of heated bathroom floors. It was the perfect home base for my stay.
My friend and I recently visited London from the US, and we were blown away by The Bloomsbury Hotel. When choosing a hotel, I very strategically looked for a hotel that was central to all that we wanted to see and had easy access to the tube or within walking distance. This hotel is that gem, close to everything! From check-in to check-out, the service from all of the staff was wonderful and accommodating. We enjoyed drinks in the Coral Room you have to get the truffle fries and breakfast as well really everything you need to get your London day going. The beds are very comfortable and the decor is a vibe. I will be back in the future!
Location is quiet - off the main bustle of Tottenham Court Rd which some may not like but we preferred it. At night our room was totally quiet. The Coral Room is exquisite in style with the all coral colored wall. The staff is properly dressed and goes the extra length to serve your every whim. The Club in the basement has a jazz band late at night well at least Friday and Saturday nights.
Great location around 20 minute walk front Euston station with a few bars & restaurants not far down the road & theatres like The prince Edward Theatre that we went to. It's a lovely hotel with a decent triple room in our case with an en suite, however the double bed was very soft & uncomfortable as if it was over due replacement. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Rooms: Nice room. Nearby activities: Bars & restaurants are just a short walk. Euston Station around a 20 minute walk & theatres a similar distance in the opposite direction to the Euston. Walkability: Good location for walking if able.
The Bloomsbury is outstanding, specially as far as hospitality goes. I was there for just two nights but Steven, Mihai, Eva, Ivan, Carmine and Hannah left a beautiful impression, they made me feel very welcome. They were hands on, very kind, warm and honest, it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in this type of high end hotel human wise. I enjoyed the conversations, help and guidance. The hotel is fancy, the bed was comfortable, the room was nice and the bar was extraordinary. I am very glad I stayed here.
Hotel is brilliant, very modern nice rooms and above all - immaculately clean. Location is superb with a 2 min walk to the nearest subway. However, the best part of hotel is honestly the staff, I never write reviews but I wanted too for this hotel. The staff went above and beyond for me - I have an interview tomorrow and the receptionist surprised me with a lovely good luck card and macaroons to the room - a lovely touch. Thank you so much again, Ellis.
Quiet luxury in central London with fabulous staff and service. Rooms are very large for London standards and very comfortable beds. Perfect location for eating out and reaching everything but also the hotel bar and restaurant are great options! Gym is also available and decently equipped. Absolutely enjoyed the stayRooms: 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at the Bloomsbury. The room was very nice, the service was mostly very good and the breakfast was excellent. It’s also within walking distance to most theatres. The hotel really needs to improve their communication though. What’s the point of sending pre-arrival questionnaires or upgrade offers if they never get back to you, despite promising to do so? After the stay, I also sent detailed feedback concerning some minor problems I encountered and all I got was a very generic thank you message. My biggest complaint, however, was the practice of adding a “discretionary” service charge to the bill. This was not clearly communicated during the booking process or explained at check-out. Can you actually call a charge discretionary if guests aren’t given a realistic chance to deny it without making a scene? I’m sure most guests would prefer transparent pricing and happily pay a few percent more. EDIT: As the hotel's answer says, the service charge is indeed mentioned during the booking process now. This was, however, not the case when I made my booking months in advance. It was not mentioned in the original booking confirmation either. I’d love to give the hotel 5 stars but because of these small issues that could easily be fixed it’s 4 stars from me.
Our stay at The Bloomsbury has been exceptional. It’s often the little things that make a big difference in a stay and this hotel is an exception from the norm. This hotel doesn’t miss a beat. It’s the nightly turn down service with chocolates brought to the room. It’s the bookmarks left on the bedside tables. It’s the comfortably decorated rooms and maybe most importantly it’s the staff that made our stay great. Everyone we encountered was great from the doormen to the front desk to housekeeping. More specifically, Maria and all her staff at breakfast were amazing and always got our day off to a great start. We’ll be back to The Bloomsbury the next time we’re in London.
