The hotel is beautiful, but the housekeeping is poor. When they change the towels and bed sheets, they replace them with dirty ones, and even the cups provided are not clean. Additionally, there is a loud noise in the toilet that I reported to the hotel three times, but nothing was done to resolve it. This will be my first and last time staying there.
This review is for their afternoon tea. I attended their special Halloween Afternoon Tea in October last year sorry, forgot to review at the time, and was very impressed. The setting was lovely, a quiet and plushy comfortable area off the lobby. The staff were great - very welcoming and really looked after us. And the food? Amazing. Their pastry chef is very creative and talented! We both really enjoyed a delightful and memorable afternoon, and were recently talking about how much we wanted to go back.
The service was beyond my expectations I am so amazed of the services and the hospitality. All my inquiries and requests were immediately answered. Rooms are super cleaned. All is amazing about this hotel except the size of the room was too small even for solo traveller i would recommend to book an executive room or the suite. Location is definitely perfect.
Superb breakfast in luxury hotel in Hyde Park A friend of mine was staying in Lancaster Gate. I was searching for a quiet and beautiful place for breakfast and the Royal Lancaster London came to mind as I had in the past met clients at that hotel. The food was delicious we had eggs Benedict; what I particularly enjoyed was the outstanding customer service and their attention to details, even though we were not hotel guests. When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Yolanda who thanked us for choosing the Royal Lancaster London for breakfast. In London, we are fortunate enough to have outstanding 5* hotels so I thought that thanking us for choosing them was very thoughtful. We loved the breakfast so much that we came back the day after for afternoon tea. And my friend loved it so much she decided to stay a few nights at this hotel! She had the most wonderful stay. I can’t wait myself for a staycation. At Royal Lancaster London they always care.
My partner and I had a lovely time at the Royal Lancaster. The hotel is in a fantastic location, we had the high tea which was a collaboration with the Natural History Museum Afternoon. The tea and scones were very fresh and delicious. The service team was very friendly and very attentive.Service: 5/5
Our family recently stayed at Royal Lancaster for our first visit to London. This was an exceptional experience for us. The service is top notch, the hotel is extremely clean and well-maintained, and the food is excellent. We brought our 5-year old and 2-month old and the staff made us feel welcome at every opportunity. The restaurant manager, Viktoria, and her team in particular were absolutely perfect. The concierge also went above and beyond in ensuring we were transferred to and from airport. I can't remember the last time I experienced this level of service so wholly during a hotel stay. The rooms are tad bit on the dated side and could use some technological upgrades, but they were in great shape and altogether the hotel felt like classic luxury that you expect from a good hotel. Location in Paddington is great. Very safe and you can take the tube from Lancaster station and get anywhere fairly quickly. Walking through Hyde Park is an obvious highlight. For all those big brand loyalists out there, consider this your sign to try something different for a change.
Whilst checking I'm Maggie and Vlad were super friendly and helpful. Maggie was very knowledgeable about the area. However we were told breakfast was a flat rate for two People of £40 or £80 on the day. So we paid in advance. There is an A La Carte menu and had we known we would have just ordered from this and would have saved ourselves money and we don't eat all that much. The receptionist whilst leaving was a bit confused and didn't know about the valet or parking service. So told us we needed to leave when we checked out. When the confirmation says the parking is for 24hrs. Also someone clearly had a cheeky cigarette in the bathroom of our room before we came to stay. The room smelled of cigarettes. Other than that our stay was wonderful and was very impressed by the hotel it's very close to Hyde Park and Maggie very kindly upgraded us to a room with a nicer view because of our occasion.
We stayed at the Royal Lancaster for our wedding weekend and it was an amazing experience. Doreen and the team did a great job and made us feel very welcome. They were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure the morning of our wedding was perfect and stress free. The team made sure we received the high chairs for the hair and makeup and ensured all guests were brought up to the room I was a little worried we may have had to keep going downstairs to bring up the bridesmaids, in between getting hair and make up done, so this was extremely helpful. The bridal party got ready in the Park suite deluxe, which was a stunning room with lots of spacious. All the girls loved the suite and couldn't get over the views over Hyde Park!! It was a truly amazing wedding morning. It was also such a lovely surprise when we came back after the wedding reception, to be upgraded to a room with an amazing view over London and to see the lovely decorations. We were very grateful for this as it was a great way to end an amazing day. We also loved our meal at Nipa Thai, which is located inside the hotel and would definitely recommend it!
We had booked an afternoon tea for 3 adults and 1 baby. The ladies at the service were very polite and helpful and the location of the hotel is amazing. However, the hotel offered no treat for our baby or any refill of sandwiches despite our request. We have tried afternoon tea in pretty much most of the hotels in London and this is the first time that they did not offer a refill. We are also not sure why the afternoon tea area is squeezed at the back of the reception instead of the first floor which offers amazing views over the park. Service was quite slow and the price very expensive for the limited food. We might come back for the location, but not for the tea.
The Royal Lancaster London is undoubtedly one of the finest hotels in London, offering an exceptional experience from the moment you step through the door. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm and gracious welcome by Mr. Amer Al Kawadri, whose hospitality and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly at home. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly set the tone for our stay. The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with housekeeping ensuring it was refreshed daily, which added to our comfort. The hotel's dining experience was another highlight—both the food and service were outstanding, and breakfast each morning was a delightful spread of fresh, flavorful options that catered to a variety of tastes. The overall ambiance of the Royal Lancaster London is elegant and inviting, making it the perfect retreat in the heart of the city. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the level of service, cleanliness, and attention to detail make this hotel a standout choice. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay in London.
