My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The location is excellent, situated in a very nice area. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They even allowed us to check in earlier than scheduled and took care of our luggage after checkout so we could explore the city. The breakfast was also delicious. Highly recommended!
Asian review. Stayed here for 4 nights during end October 2024. Location is close to Paddington station and Hyde Park. Tends to be very noisy at night. Not for those sensitive to noise. The room and bathroom was clean but slightly old. There is a hostel connected to it. Note that there is no fridge in the room. The breakfast is reasonably priced at £8 I think which is cheaper than the cafes nearby but we did not try it. The reception staff are very friendly.
My traveling partner, Peter and I, Harry, enjoyed our stay at the Lancaster hotel so much. The staff was extremely friendly and personable. The breakfast was ideal. The location was great, but especially I need to say that the staff was so helpful. Any question we had, they answered. If I come back to london, I will be staying at the Lancaster Hotel. Rooms: Rooms were a perfect size. They had biscuits and tea provided in the room. A tub/shower provided. Nice view of the shops across the street. Nearby activities: The Paddington station was right down the street and walking toward the station, there were so many retail shops and coffee shops and the people, so many different ethnicities. The people were so helpful and friendly in giving out directions, it was a wonderful experience!!! Safety: It was not frightful at all. Well lit, close to main street. Walkability: Great location to Hyde Park and retail shops, eateries everywhere.
Still an ideal location to stay but it was notably apparent that many of the staff aren't happy in their work now & this was notable in their demeanour. Generally too warm throughout the building & lighting is harsh! Black out curtains, new flooring & soundproofing needed. Doors need attention, constant slamming heard on every floor. Taking out the breakfast & also increasing prices meant a 50% increase in pricing, too much! We were a huge fan of this hotel on our last/long visit, it was a shame to find it lacking in so many areas this visit... Please address them, it's a wonderful location & the old buildings are stunning!
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights from the 29th of August 2024. We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable, the bath was good, plenty of hot water, and we liked the breakfast, especially the tea. The location is very handy and an easy walk to Hyde Park. We’d stay there again.Rooms: 4/5
Not bad, but you get what you pay for. Location wise, it's near stations, but you will have a bit of a walk, and it can be a little noisy at night. The room was clean, but the sheets were uncomfortable- kinda itchy and the bed hard. You also have a weird combo of no AC, but the bedding is very thick so you are left with no cover you can sleep under comfortably ended up using a scarf from home as a blanket. The plug location is terrible, none of them near the bed. There is also no lamp you can operate from the bed.
Our favorite thing about this hotel was its proximity to Paddington Station. We wanted a spot where we could get up and tube to the airport early in the morning, and it certainly provided an excellent location. The room itself was pretty bare-bones; we remarked on a couple occasions that it felt like a hospital room. Not too far from the park, and we found an incredible Indian Restaurant Turmeric nearby. It was functional and provided what we needed from a hotel at this juncture in the trip.
We stayed at this place during our London visit in August . Rooms were packed with limited access to open window. I would prefer that considering the amazing weather in London . Breakfast was just bread toast and egg - no variety Room cleaning staff was very rude and all 3 days during the stay they entered the room directly got cleaning . This is not acceptable - Poor service
I stayed here back in November 2022 for 4 nights with my Mum on our way to visit family in Scotland. Nice open lobby, a little bit dated but perfectly fine. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice and clean, with a good sized bathroom. Enough room for 2 adults with suitcases. Breakfast was continental style with freshly baked croissants, bread rolls - very good!. Location was fantastic, right in the heart of Paddington within walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants and public transport. The only thing that was slightly annoying was the check-in time. We couldn't access our room until 3pm and Qantas always has early flights into London Heathrow at 5-6am so we had a few hours to kill before we could get into our room, after travelling 24hrs from Australia it would have been nice to at least rest before heading out to explore London. But it hasn't put me off wanting to stay here again, I can't wait to return to London and would stay at the Lancaster Hall Hotel. 10/10. Safety: Quiet residential neighbourhood Walkability: Close to everything you need to explore London - buses, trains etc Food & drinks: Breakfast is nice, continental style. Hotel is close to cafes and restaurants.
I stayed a couple of nights. Everything was perfect and the receptionist staff were so friendly! Especially the tall Spanish guy. I would definitely recommend this hotel!Rooms: 5/5
