The place was exceptional in terms of the price and how close it is to all transportation in the city. The staff and the receptionist Omar were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was pretty good you can make a sandwich, grab a croissant, have some cereal, etc. The ladies who serve the breakfast in the morning are very kind. The hotel is also very clean.
Very handy to Paddington Station. Small but clean rooms, comfy beds helpful staff. We didn't try the breakfast, the dining room is downstairs but the hotel is close to a group of cafes that offered outdoor dining. Value for money, we would stay again.Rooms: 3/5
Came over the weekend for a birthday away from home. The rooms were nice, very dated bedsheets but that's just preference. The shower was blocked and the window was broken. The breakfast staff were so rude, especially the older Hispanic lady who was telling people to leave after breakfast had finished and tried taking our plates while we were still eating and would huff and puff when we said no. The hotel front door window was attacked during the night not sure if this is usual but over all.. yeah it was okay
I have been to so many hotels but this one seems interesting. Inside it's a bit cozy kind of but the rooms and the maintenance was very much impressed and I loved it. Perfect for night stays and the breakfast is also decently good. Thank you Alxendra Hotels. Budget friendly and close to Paddington Station. Walkability: 5 min walk to Paddington station.
If you are into hotel rooms straight from the 80s with a lift that will make you question your choices in life, then this is for you! I knew from reception that this was going to be bad as I was just given a form to fill in manually without 1 word from the clerk after I told him I had a reservation. The lift is extremely small, slow and gave me anxiety. Room 211 was small and the decor and fittings are outdated. The curtain and the bed spread didn't even match and are so outdated. The beds are hard and the reception on the TV was patchy. Wifi was ok to check emails but nothing else. The bathroom floor was very grubby and the toilet did not flush well but otherwise clean. Ample instant teas and coffees. No mini fridge or plugs near the bed. The breakfast was in my husband's words "school lunch but worse". It's yogurt, cereal, toast and boiled eggs. They didn't have any fresh fruit like apples, oranges or bananas. The juice is powdered and the coffee was undrinkable and they boiled eggs into hard rubber consistency. I would never stay there again but if you are ok with a utilitarian functional room, the tastebuds of a child and plans on not taking your socks off during your whole stay, you'll love it.
The hotel stay was terrible. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. They brought me a room on the ground floor: The room was noisy, I heard everything - people entering the hotel, noise from the elevator, noise from the lobby and the dining room. The room was small and dirty, there were hairs on the bed, in the shower it took 15 minutes until there was hot water. The lobby had a foul smell. Do not go to this hotel!
I've booked this accommodation almost 6month ago for my family. The hotel offers nice accommodation with wifi access. We're staying in the basement room, the room above us is under construction, people smoke there all the time and we have no internet access at all...not even mobile data. They didn't tell us nothing at the reception, no explanation, apologies...nothing. So if you want to stay in the basement room during your London visit, Alexandra hotel is the best choice.
Although we knew that we could not expect a lot for the price paid, the bedroom and the hotel were the noisiest I ever been, the underground noise during the night and people shouting and slaming doors, made sleeping a difficult task, the recepcionist answer, on the 2nd of November 5.50Pm, to one of my questions was, "what happens", almost a prison guard, no hello, nothing, they must have complaints all the time, I guess. The Breakfast was fair and the location very good.
Stay on a single room on a 4th floor. Room was clean. There is a elevator, but for my room and other rooms the access is only through staircase. Maybe bcos these room are on the backend of the building. Breakfast is nice. It was nice one night stay. And the hotel name is the same with my daughter’s
Breakfast under average. Rooms only available via stairs, escalators weren't working during our trip. Beds not comfortable.Rooms: 3/5
