Great location near the station park food and touristy shops. Clean comfy bed. Bathroom dirty mold in corners but fine for a few days stay. Nice staff, DID throw away my passport without noticing somehow and were not helpful when trying to find it. found in trash out side of my room but did keep our luggage behind the desk for an extra hour before our flight.
Absolutel disgusting hotel. We only stayed 1night out of our booked 3 The only thing they have going for then is that the Location is great as it's a 5-minute walk to Paddington station. The room smelled so bad, the bathroom was disgusting, dried liquid all over the seat probably pee I was so thankful I packed toilet seat covers. Can't drink the water. The carpets are stained and so gross. When we woke up we found a puddle of liquid next to the bed and liquid was leaking down the wall which left a puddle on the carpet. They told us there was no room above us, so even worse where is the liquid coming from? and part of our luggage got wet since it was on the floor because we had no place place to put it as theres no space. We immediately asked for a new room. They couldn't accomodate us u til after checkout 11am, that much I can understand but as it was our ONLY day to explore the city we didn't want to wait to be given a room in the same condition or even worse. So we left and stayed somewhere else. It really inconvenienced our vacation and we missed some things we wanted to see due to lack of time from the complication. On top of it I asked the hotel for a confirmation of checkout. Which they said there was none. This is fine, I've never been to a hotel that did give one, usually you give your key and that's it. But then on the day of our original checkout I recieved an e-mail confirming we checked out at 7am that morning. I was LIVID. I contacted scene+ upon return to Canada I had no cell phone service to do it out there and they fought for my money back. The hotel refused due to their policy but I think we ahould have been refunded for 2 of our nights. Scene gave me back some points as an apology, not that it was their fault and it was appreciated. It really sucks because the outside is very nice and the location is amazing. They just do not how to upkeep it.
Location is top but the hotel itself feels kinda wreck. Not well maintained or cared for. Unclean and it feels unhygienic. The hotel photos are highly deceptive, check these photos to see reality. They gave me a room in the floor underground and it felt very inconvenient with the bad lighting, bad window, and uncleanness. Never choose cheap, not to recommend! To the hotel: please take advantage and better care of the valuable location you have by offering better service and quality!
Horrible stay... only stayed 1night out of 3 total... checked in at 10h30pm which is OK, and happy they had someone at the desk, Location is great as it's 5minute walk to Paddington station. Starting with how horrible the rooms are, they're nothing close to the pictures provided on any booking website, the room smelled like B.O, bathroom dirty, toilet seat had dried pee still on it, water is not drinkable, shower was dirty.... the carpets looked stained and gross... It gets better, after waking up early morning, we found a puddle of water next to the bed, water was leaking down the wall soaking the carpet and part of our luggage as theres no space to store anything besides right next to the bed.... not sure where the water came from as receptionist said there's no room above us.. After talking with the front desk the only resolution to this disaster was for us to wait Past 11am for a new room** they quoted better quality but all are the same if not worse** which was not possible due to pre planned events in the city. Such a shame because location is perfect for traveller's with no vehicle...
It was very close to paddington station and Hyde park. The location was great, the workers were friendly. But that’s pretty much it. The room was dirty and had plenty of different stains, especially on the bed. The bathroom was really dirty.Rooms: 2/5
Disgusting hotel. Stained floors, ripped curtains, awful bathroom, dirty underpants at the bottom of the wardrobe. Felt very uneasy staying here. Complained about the state of my room and was promised a partial refund. Chased it for months and never got it. Do not stay here
Room smelling like a sewer. Black mold on the shower. You can hear people in other rooms going to the bathroom. The toliet/shower looks like its been refurbished from an old ship. Rust around the bathroom door. No breakfast even though that was stated that it was included in the room. Nice boys in the reception and they deserve to work at a better place then this.
I dont know why this hotel get bad reviews. For me personally. I stay 7 days at this hotel. Everything is good. Even though the room at the toilet and bathroom is little bit small.For me as average asian size. It not a deal breaker. Khadir the receptionists guy also very helpful. With the price i paid, i think is worth every penny. The location also only 6 minutes walking from Paddington stations. Halal food also just few step away. There also a small mosque 6 min walk.. Hydepark also in walking distance
The single room I was given, was essentially a cleaning cupboard with a build in portable toilet and shower. And that's exactly what it smelled like. The 'wardrobe' teamed up as a kitchenette. The mattress was blood-stained and at least 30 years old. The room and 'bathroom' hasn't been cleaned once throughout my 3 night stay. On a positive note it didn't have bed bugs. I've complained several times but neither was given a different room nor a discount. Not sure if it was the kettle placed above the several sockets or the rest of it but it didn't feel like a safe place to stay.
Location, location, location. That is what makes this hotel ideal for the price points it offers as it is near paddington station. Keep in mind, there are no longer any breakfasts offered when we stayed. There is however, a tea kettle with cream and sugar. Showers are exceptionally small 3/4 meter in circumference so for people of size, kindly take note. Rooms are dated, peeling paint here and there but this is a 2.5 star hotel property. You’re here for budget reasons, not to be inspired as if it was a Michelin-rated facility. Neighborhood is pleasant, relatively safe albeit single pane windows make for street noise. Rooms: Rooms are small. Like the basement rooms with no windows on a cruise line. That size.
