We loved our stay here! The room was clean, and the balcony had a nice view – definitely a highlight. The location was perfect, super central and easy to get around. The bed was super comfy too. Only downside was the bathroom sliding door didn’t fully close, so privacy wasn’t great, but overall, the room and location were awesome. Would totally stay again!
This hotel which started in 1888 is in the process of being renovated. It has a lot of history. Rooms are very comfortable. The meals served to us were exceptional. Well worth a stop over stay while traversing the local mountain passes. Good too for fishing, hiking, mountain biking.Rooms: 5/5
This is a super little independent hotel near to Hyde Park and 10 minutes walk from Paddington Station. We stayed for one night whilst going to a concert in Hyde Park and it was absolutely perfect. Nathan on reception gave us a very warm, friendly welcome and made sure we knew how to get around and find the places we wanted to visit. Our twin room and shower room was very clean and the shower room was modern with large shower and sink. Highly recommended and we look forward to staying again next time we're in London. Walkability: Easy walking distance from Paddington and other tube stations as well as Hyde Park.
The hotel is on what I would see as the budget end though Wimbledon fortnight it was still over £150 per night. The location is convenient for Paddington Station and the restaurant and fast food places in the area. The hotel has a tired appearance. The double bed was against the wall, so the person on the inside needs the stronger bladder. The mattress was very uncomfortable for me, there was no give. The room itself had space and a desk top with plug sockets. The en-suite door didn't shut properly and there was very little control of water temperature from the water tap for the shower, and the pressure was weak long haired folk washing be warned. The hotel does not offer a breakfast. There are steps up to the hotel, with no alternatives for wheel chair access. I was not aware of a lift in the hotel either.
The hotel was pretty tired. It was fine for the price. No lift but the stairs weren't too bad. Most of the staff were great except one, not naming him by name..Rooms: 3/5
Took the family room with a twin and a king size bed had great service that catered to all our requests and they were also very responsive online on our booking site. Nearby activities: Recommend going to Mimo's for nice cheap breakfast or Drury 188-189 for a more expensive but really good breakfast option. The hotel is also really close to Paddington station
Small but perfectly situated next to Paddington. Silent. Nice and friendly host. Small room but fine enough for short stay. Walking distance to many London attractions and shopping area Oxford street.Rooms: 4/5
Nice budget hotel close to Paddington station, convenient when landing in Heathrow and taking the train to London. Good wifi. Friendly receptionist. No breakfast, but plenty of places to grab a bite nearby. I'm happy with my stay.Rooms: 5/5
So close to Hyde Park, Lancaster Gate and Paddington subway station however rooms are tiny. Prices are too high for that room I think. I won’t be stay again but the experince wasn’t that badRooms: 3/5
The hotel is in a great location. Very close to the metro. All restaurants, pubs and shops around open late. Also the 24 hrs marker is 5 mins away from the place. The only two things which I was not fun with was that the hotel freezes 50 EUR as a deposit and only you get one key to your room. Rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you need. I would like to recommend the location and service are very valuable for sure.
