Kensington Palace is a beautiful and historic site, offering a fascinating glimpse into royal history. The gardens are stunning and well-maintained, providing a peaceful escape in the heart of London. The exhibits are well-curated, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. To fully enjoy everything, plan to spend at least 3-4 hours here. Free audio guide is also highly recommended.nOverall it is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and tourists alike!
Interesting place to visit. It was our first historical place, and we had nothing to complete with. I was expecting something more exciting but still was nice. You can see only a small part of the home with some pieces of history. Without a guide, it's a bit confusing. Audio guide didn't help at all. Was actually useless. There is a nice gift shop, where we found beautiful souvenirs. Cafe was very crowded. Park with lake and birds are good to walk and rest around. There is a small Princess Diane memorial. It's nice to see as well. Overall worth to visit once!
My family and I enjoyed visiting Kensington! There was a lot to see. I read at the reviews who did not like the audio tour. We thought it was great. We took our time and listened to each section and paid attention to what the tour was talking about. it was informative and gave us good insight into the royal life back in the day. Coming from the USA, we don’t have much to compare to. The Palace is for the most part still in a Victorian setting. It’s very elegant and has been brought back to as close to original repair as can be expected after all this time. The gardens are beautiful. The princess Diana memorial at the sunken Garden is also very beautiful to see. Getting the 10 to 10:30 AM ticket. Get there about 15 to 20 minutes early and you will have no crowds. By the time the next two tours start getting in the place pack up pretty quickly. It is an audio guided tour, you can take your time and, walk around each room as long as you like. You don’t have to go to the next one and the next part of the tour on until you’re ready. If you were into history at all, especially royal history, you gotta visit this place at least once.
Lovely rich place to feel the ambience of historical moments-loved the gardens. The staff are impeccable, full of stories and play about the palace. Fun times thank you. Plus lovely cafe for afters X
Title: A Royal Journey Through TimennReview:nnStepping into Kensington Palace is like walking through the pages of history. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the grandeur of the State Apartments, where every room tells a story of royalty. The intricate decor and art pieces made me feel like I had traveled back to an era of kings and queens.nnThe Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection was an absolute highlight, offering a glimpse into the opulent fashion of past monarchs. The attention to detail in each garment was stunning, making it easy to imagine the royal ceremonies that once filled these halls.nnAfter exploring the palace, I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through Kensington Gardens, a perfect complement to the visit. The gardens were beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle of London. Kensington Palace is a must-visit for anyone interested in British history and royal life. Five stars, without a doubt!
