Very good location if you're able to walk unaided. Not so good if you have mobility issues. However, overall a good hotel & the staff were excellent. We had a noise issue on the first night but we were moved to another room without any problem. The bar/restaurant area is good and the food was very good. Very good value if booking on the EasyJet holiday website which includes flights.
Stayed one night in room 768. There’s a lift to help with luggage for the half floor of stairs. Can hear the Neighbour walking about in heels in their room. A clean and warm room. Queen size bed - the white bed sheet was only tucked under the mattress protector and not the mattress… a first for me. Coffee table complete with snacks - crisps, chocolates - nespresso machine and pods, tea bags, instant coffee, and a kettle. You can fill your water bottle at reception area. The shower area was spacious and has instant hot water. There were two bath towels no hand towel and no face towel and two bath robes. Hair dryer, Shower gel and shampoo, shower cap, soap bar, cotton pads/buds provided. No exhaust for bathroom. Efficient check in. Convenient location. Overall a very decent stay for the price.
Great location. Lovely clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Tea /coffee in the room. Friendly helpful staff and breakfast was included. Definitely recommend and we would happily stay again. Walkability: Great location. Edinburgh mile and shops all within walking distance. Plenty of coffee shops and places to eat on route.
Situated just off the Royal Mile and near the other hotel on HUnters Corner. South Bridge is perfect for a long weekend . The staff were warm and welcoming. They explained about breakfast and evening meals if you want to eat there. At £13.50 for a breakfast pp we decided not to bother. The room was small and compact and the bed was very comfortable as well. It came with the usual amenities. 3 nights for £230 in a hotel just off the mile was a bargain. Would definitely stay here again instead of well known budget hotels.
Excellent location for a stay in Edinburgh, room was ok other than the bathroom door was hanging off its hinges so it was a major struggle to open and close the door. There was also a huge gap at the bottom of the door so you could hear and smell everything that goes on in there. I prefer a little more privacy.Rooms: 3/5
Excellent hotel strategically located in the old town, close to the Royal Mile. Nice and modern rooms. Bar and restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent quality, large menu. Kind and efficient personnel.

A good location for central sights and buses to out of town ones. We were on the 7th floor and while I sometimes heard noise from the bar below with live music, the air conditioning drowned it out - based on other comments, I'd recommend a room on a higher floor or maybe in the annexe at the back. Room was clean, and breakfast was excellent - plenty of variety of things to eat, and enough space to sit on each of the 5 days we were there.
Stayed there 4 nights, the hotel is a bit old you can see that from the bathroom furnitures but yet confortable. Staff really is friendly and can help you with any questions. The situation is perfect, just 3 streets from the castle and princes street. Beds are confortable. The only main issue we had was the room sound insulation which was terrible. We could hear people in next room on the phone, or water sounds when people over us were taking a shower. This didn't prevent us from sleeping well, but you have to be aware of that before coming here.
Unfortunately our stay at the Ibis hotel was very disappointing because of two reasons: 1. Poor hotel service which was conducted by an inexperienced cleaning lady. 2. Unhelpful, unthoughtful and unresponsive hotel staff and management. During our stay in the hotel, the cleaning lady entered our room twice on two consecutive days even though we had put the red sign of not disturbing us on the handle of the door. She did not knock on the door and entered while we were sleeping. It was very horrible to see a stranger in the middle of the room. With this bad feeling and the fear and concern of repeating this action a third time, we spoke with the manager and explained in detail what had happened. The manager spoke with the cleaning lady who denied doing this twice. The manager did not deal with our complaint in a thoughtful and serious way. She offered a one-day complementary breakfast which was not acceptable as a solution for the intrusion of our privacy. We were told that they will reconsider but we heard nothing from them since then.
