The hotel is well located and the staff is nice. However there are three things that I didn't appreciate. On my first day at breakfast I was informed I didn't had breakfast included. So it felt like I was some squatter trying to get my way through. It was really not nice. Second thing I reported the first day that the shower drain was not working and it remain the same until the end of the stay. The third thing is that the breakfast has no indication of the allergens what makes it difficult and annoying having to ask the staff what doesn't contains dairy products. Someone with allergies to dairy has very small choices. Even when I asked if someone could make an omelet without any dairy the answer was NO. I couldn't eat the scrambled eggs because they contained dairy. One of the staff members Michael offered to provide vegetable cream and some ham that didn't contain dairy. And this was all I was able to eat the entire stay, besides fruit and bread.
My new hiking boots lost the entire sole and the other boot was going the same! They were not cheap.nBut!nThe wonderful reception woman called a young man on staff who came to my aid.nWhen I came back last night Both boots all glued and looking as good as new again.Service Plus!nI am extremely grateful. My holiday has been rescued so I can go on to the Highlands and Wales happily.nThank you Sonia and Liam.nSo relieved you've saved my holiday.nKaren from New Zealand.
Great location. We went to see a show at the castle.nnRoom was small but that was OK. Toilet being in another room with no sink we didn't like.nOnly 1 tea bag. Mostly though the noise either the lift or heating I'm not sure what it was but so noisy.
Generally the hotel is really good. Perfect location and everything is up to 20minutes away. The staff is helpful and polite. The rooms are big, clean and filled with everything you need. There is even a toothbrush just in case you forget yours. The gym is good for a hotel and the sauna was big enough for a few people.nnThe only reason I give them 3 stars but NOT 5 is the cleanliness which in my opinion is the most important. The swimming pool was very dirty and it smelled so much of the chemicals they put in that I hardly stayed for 10mins and my eyes cried out all day after. Also all tables in the restaurant and the bar were dirty and sticky you can’t put anything on unless you want to stuck on to the table.nnOther than that! Quite important CLEANING! I would say the hotel is good and it’s worth it but they just need to clean it.
Reception Team are the best! They remember you if you stay with them regularly and greet you with a smile. They work hard to allocate rooms for group check in which can be a challenge. They are reliable for giving great local information and support to all their visitors and they are all around a great team. Always fun to see the desk done up to support seasonal holidays and PRIDE month too!nRooms are very clean and well serviced. Staff in the corridor say hello!nBar and restaurant team are always friendly and quick to serve. The food is excellent and fresh. The live music played in the bar is great for hosting my guests in an upbeat and modern space without having to leave the hotel.
