I chose to stay here because the opposite NovHotel was full and twice the price... Rooms were very clean, although compact. The rooms have everything you need. A hot lovely shower, clean bathroom and comfortable bed! If you want a kettle or hairdryer i didnt need one you can get it from reception who are friendly and 24 hours. great stay!
The price was very good, but it is definitely a 'budget' hotel. Met expectations, and was clean - but very basic. That's what you pay for! Check-in was easy and friendly. Bed was comfy, but room was hot - and sadly had a machine running right outside the window, so had to keep it closed. Walkability: Just 5 mins from Horizon Cruise terminal
Room was small with no outlets near bed. Common areas needed cleaning/remodeling. Breakfast was poorly supplied/refreshed. Only real benefit was that it was within walking distance from the train station and the cruise terminal as well as exploring the old town, shopping mall, restaurants, etc.Rooms: 3/5
Needed to stay in the Southampton area at short notice so appreciated being able to book a room and check in at 11pm. The room was tired looking, the toilet was dirty, as was the main floor in the room. Public areas and room were surface clean but housekeeping standards definitely require improvement. Staff were friendly.Rooms: 2/5
Perfect location that is central to everything such as shops, town, station and ferry services to the isle of wight.The reason for the massive knock down on service is that the man at reception not only announced loudly the couple in front of me their room number, but also mine once I was served.I was travelling on my own at the time which is not safe for anyone. Usually I would ask for another room but his attitude wasn't that approachable and I just ended up staying in that room. Everything else at the hotel was great and I hope the above feedback is taken into account, especially for other solo travelers.
Perfect location for our Disney cruise, 5 minute walk to the ship. Rooms basic but clean no kettle but you can purchase a hot drinks package and the beds were comfy. Room was super hot! Was disappointed upon arrival that the staff were swearing their heads off, one male member of staff did ask the others to stop swearing but my 7 year old had already heard. Hasn't put us off returning but not the best welcome!. Mcdonalds is literally a 2 minute walk around the corner which was perfect for an evening meal with the kids.
IBUS BUDGET is perfect stop over or short stay hotel. Near shopping centres, plenty of eateries all nearby and the main cruise terminal a 5 minute walk away. The hotel itself is clean, efficient and serves breakfast and has automatic dispenser for snacks and drinks. Staff were extremely friendly and happy. Walkability: Walking distance to lots of palces starting with the Port and plenty of shopping areas. Food & drinks: Hotel provides breakfast, also has automatic machines for snacks and drinks . lots of shops, restaurants, fast food, less than 5 minutes away.
Utter shambles! The entire hotel reeks of cigarette and weed. Staff are less interested in helping out than a nun is in having intercourse. We were told incorrect timing for breakfast meaning we missed out on first morning as we had somewhere else to go. On day two we went down ten minutes after breakfast had started and people were filling their pockets with pastries meaning that nothing was left for us - a complete joke and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!! Beds are softer than a non-boiled egg and the noise levels here are off the scale: chavs shouting and arguing all night, bottles being smashed in the car park, fights and youths racing around maccas car park next door - utter disgrace Avoid avoid avoid Complete waste of money - pay twenty quid more and go to a proper hotel or sleep in the street and you’ll still getter a better sleep!
The smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in 50 years. Smaller than any cruise ship cabin. TV the size of a standard computer monitor. Free breakfast consisted of 3 cereals, white bread, packaged croissants, good orange juice and coffee & tea. A bunk bed sideways above the main bed. Don't hit your head. One small shelf, no closet, no drawers, tiny shelf under sink in the bedroom. Very clean, large bath towels. Safe secure area. Outer hallway locker limiting access. The wardrobe consisted of an 8" pipe sticking out of the wall with 5 hangers. Great location for shopping, near West Quay Mall, High Street and cruise ship port. Beer and wine in a cooler, but they could not sell because of a license expire issue. Ice available in the regular Ibis hotel across the parking lot. There's a clothes washer and dryer on site. Pay €10 a day for parking unless built in your rates. Noteworthy details: The regular Ibis across the parking lot would be well worth the current €5 difference on a rate of €145 a night.
Room was £150 for the night. Shower and sink are in the bedroom not a separate room so you get water on the floor of your bedroom. Plastic floor throughout the room. No power sockets near the bed. No kettle and tea and coffee costs extra. No iron or ironing boards were available so had to go to meeting with creased clothes. Opened the window but had to close again as you just smell McDonalds next door. Breakfast was £16 extra and was poor quality. Staff were quite friendly and location is convenient
