A lovely buzzing CAFE lovely friendly professional staff very good prices.
Great value clean rooms. Quite basic in a converted old house but equipped with kettle coffee and tea. The room itself was exceptionally clean. The en suite was simple but fine. Water pressure was low in shower and plug hole drained slowly, but everything functioned. Was impressed for the money.
This place dose not exist it was taken over a long time ago but they didn't change name and were still taking bookings the new owners were not aware of this until I turned up
Not a pleasant stay, the place is dirty needs a full refurbishment not fit for purpose. My room had a shower that just trickled water so could not wash properly. Chipped toilet seat dirt mould around the shower. The beds were comfy and linen and towels were clean. The place is noisy and drunk people were loud late at night and not one member of staff at the location, broken sleep followed by more broken sleep when the staff were talking loudly in the hall way at 06.30 by 8am I had to tell them to be quiet. Out side areas garden Needs a good sweep cigarettes butts on the Floor. Just felt disappointed the room was over priced facilities do not work properly, if your looking to stay at the money pit this is the place otherwise avoid till they refurb the place properly.
Cheap and cheerful, does the job I guess! I can only describe this as staying at your nan and grandads or staying in one of the rooms on resident evil mansion... very old fashioned and dull looking, once you get through the broken front door you need to search for the man at a desk with a laptop who you hand your card and he books you in and you get a code for your door.. once you go up the tiny stairs and hear the creeks and banging from the other doors you'll finally use your password for the door. Our room was very small and smelt musky, we were pleased with the shower on suite, that was Good, but we had to rely on a electric heater as the radiators were not working... it wasn't the best but we thought for the price it wasn't that bad. I wouldn't say the location was great but for one night it was fine. You could hear every bang and noise this old house made and then me and the girlfriend were woken to a load of drunks who woke up everyone else. That was the only downside. I personally thought this did the job... this is more of a guest house.
AVOID!!! Especially if you're booking in advance. It is unfortunate I cannot give the property and its manager 0 stars. This is not a hotel, and has no reception -- the manager can only be contacted by phone. After we arrived at the property, we called the manager, who then decided to cancel our reservation as well as the reservation of a couple who arrived just before us, so this seems to be a pattern. Unlike some of the guests staying at the property, the manager was completely and utterly unhelpful. We were lucky we had friends in Southampton with whom we were able to stay, as otherwise we would have needed to sleep on the street. From what I've seen at the property from my extremely short time there, it looks very run down and in need of repairs.
Cheap and comfortable. You'll hear snoring from next door. Small but warm rooms. I like that I have my own sink. Kitchen only has microwaves on hob. I guess that works for most people. Keypads mean no keys to forget. Very accommodating host and staff.
Good: value was really good, access was 24hours. Bad: Shared toilet and shower. Toilet had no toilet roll and other people's urine on the seat. The towel provided was not big enough for a shower and only to wash your face. Bed was not stable and pillows were too thin. Also no mind your head on low ceilings
When arriving to check in there were no staff present nor a way to get into the building at all. After 2 hours of calling one of 3 phone numbers to get in contact with someone who worked there the duty manager kept saying 10 more mins and he would be there I then found out my room wasn’t actually available as they were being refurbished and that I was stuck in Southampton after travelling 5 hours from Devon We made our booking in April and the duty manager could not take responsibility and only blamed online booking which would have gone through him. I was forced to go back home to Devon even though I was supposed to graduate the next day. Avoid like the plague!
Shared a room with my partner and a friend forma weekend 2 nights. Check in extremely easy, room is tiny but cozy, with private bathroom and small kitchen with utensils and very good conditions pans. The sofa bed is not awesome, and wouldn't recommend to sleep on it longer than two nights, but for this price and a getaway weekend, very happy with our stay! Located only 15 minutes walking from Southampton Central station in a quiet residential area.
