We are staying at the hotel since December 24th to January 2nd 9 nights in an Executive room.nFirst of all, I would like to highlight the professionalism and kindness of the reception team as well as the breakfast staff, who were consistently welcoming and attentive. The room we finally stayed in was very nice, with a beautiful view, and overall comfortable. However, it is worth noting that not all Executive rooms are equal: the first one we were assigned did not reflect the photos shown on the website and felt rather basic.nThe hotel is well located, close to transport links and several pleasant restaurants, which is definitely a plus.nAs for areas of improvement: housekeeping could be more attentive when it comes to replenishing tea/coffee, bathrobes, and similar amenities. During the festive period, breakfast could benefit from a more seasonal touch — for instance, a traditional English fruit cake or mini Christmas puddings. For guests staying a longer period in an Executive room, a small gesture such as a festive note or a simple attention in the room would be greatly appreciated.nI will stop here, but overall I feel that since COVID, the Accor group is no longer quite the same, and we have decided not to continue with them in the future.nOnce again, many thanks to the reception and breakfast teams. It is just unfortunate that the issues mentioned above — and a few others not listed — slightly overshadowed the experience.
We stayed with family 19-21th Dec.nnLady at reception desk who welcomed us and checked us in was warm and helpful. She represented your brand very well.nHappy with rooms - ours had a great view toward Tower Bridge and the Shard. Switchable smart glass in bathroom partition was a bit weird as ours viewed the toilet!nBreakfast good - great views.nBar a bit noisy and spartan - could do with a quieter and lounge area.nCanary Wharf was interesting place to visit.nMany thanks.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Novotel London Canary Wharf. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and our room and bed were both very comfortable. However, I do have one important criticism. When we booked the hotel through a price comparison site, we clearly stated that the room would be for two adults and our teenage son. Upon arrival, we were informed that the additional bed was only suitable for a small child. Our only option was to upgrade to a suite, which added a significant three figure sum to the cost of our stay.nThis should not have happened, as the booking details made our family’s needs clear. Clearer information about bed suitability would help avoid this kind of situation for future guests. Aside from that issue, we did enjoy our time at the hotel and appreciated the excellent service and comfortable surroundings.
We stayed at this hotel from December 24 to December 28. Unfortunately, the rooms were not clean. The carpet was dirty, the shower was dirty, and there was a lot of dust in the room. Dust was everywhere and it seemed that no one cleaned or wiped the surfaces properly.nnEvery morning we also had to stand in line for breakfast. We had to take the food from downstairs and then go up to the upper floor, which is not really designed for breakfast. It is actually a bar, and we had to eat breakfast at high tables, which was quite uncomfortable.nnThe hotel has a great view and looks modern and stylish, which is a big plus. However, the lack of cleanliness really ruined the experience. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel — at most, it deserves 3 stars. If cleanliness is important to you, unfortunately, this hotel is not the right choice.
Really great service from the front desk who was also able to accommodate my late check out request on short notice. Room was adequate but felt cramped and small. The hotel in general feels cramped. Rooms are quite new with modern finishes. Great city view from the room. No concierge which was inconvenient. Breakfast was good and location was great. Very accessible and is only a short walk from the Canary Wharf underground station. Great roof top bar overlooking London.
