I have been staying at this hotel regularly and have always enjoyed my visits, but this time I am really disappointed. I was not given access to the lounge or complimentary breakfast, which I have enjoyed during my previous stays. On top of that, the front desk staff is quite dismissive and did not offer even the usual welcome amenities, like cookies. As a loyal guest, I expected to receive the usual benefits and a warm welcome. I hope the hotel can address this issue and make it right.
Excellent location. 2 mins from Tube stop. Great food option, amazing Indian cuisine around the corner. Was perfect spot for crossing the South hawk bridge. Close to Borough and Spitafields markets. Are la is safe, fun and great energy. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable and the shower was great. The staff was kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and eager to assist. Nice Executive Lounge if you have access. Rooftop bar has great views. Will stay here again next visit.
Great location. Staff are lovely, welcoming and polite. Really enjoyed the rooftop bar which had great views, food and service. The bed was very comfortable. However…nThe room 519 was on the small side and was noisy, as it backed onto Crutched Friars. There was traffic noise and an annoying manhole cover noise which banged every time a vehicle drove over it. We had no hot water one morning …. Which really shouldn’t happen.
We were thoroughly impressed with our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton near the Tower of London. In a city with endless hotel options, this one truly stands out for its incredible staff and commitment to cleanliness.nnWe were fortunate to receive an upgrade upon check-in, and our room was spotless. I mean, exceptionally clean, which can often be hit-or-miss even with well-known hotel brands. While the room itself was a bit small, this is very common in London, and by European standards, it was well-appointed and very comfortable.nnWhat truly made our stay outstanding, however, was the staff. The hotel was consistently busy, yet every single staff member we encountered—from the front desk to the breakfast attendants—was polite, on point, and genuinely helpful. The morning breakfast buffet, though it could get crowded, was very nice and always well-maintained by this amazing team. We didn't get a chance to visit, but we noted the hotel also has an award-winning rooftop sky bar.nnThe location is a major asset. It served as an excellent home base and is very convenient for getting around the city. There was always a line of taxis waiting right at the front door, and the Tower Hill Underground station is just a short walk away, making it incredibly easy to explore all of London.nnI would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler who values impeccable cleanliness and truly exceptional service above all else. A fantastic choice.
Worst 4 stars hotel. Extremely poor customer service, the receptionist yawned in front of me. None of them carry a smile on their face.nnThe hotel is lacking of a lot of in room facilities. No room slippers if you are located at lower floors. Discriminations! Shower gel not refilled and i ran out of them for two nights.nnWardrobe is a small one, reminds me of my hostels day.
