Don't get alarmed from the distance to the center, the great combination with London underground and the bus to street of the hotel makes it really easy to get there from anywhere. You have free ferry to Canary warf and from there all London is connected. The breakfast is exceptional... So fresh and tasteful. On demand omelet making, fresh bacon, variety of cheese, selection of coffee and chocolate drinks, orange, apple or mango juice, breads, pastries and more... Very comfortable bed and great bath.
We stayed here at the weekend for my birthday and had a great time. The hotel is lovely, clean and in a really good location. The ferry to and from Canary Wharf is brilliant- no need for taxis and as it is included in the cost this saved us money. All the staff are friendly and approachable. A special mention about Jonas who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. We will be returning with our children as well and we are already really looking forward to it!
Whilst it is the 'wrong' side of the river, and a decent way out of town, in summer it's a great location + eating breakfast on the Thames on a warm morning is just such a nice change.nBoat free for residents takes you across to Canary Wharf, and then you can take the Thames Clipper / Uber Boat up / down the Thames. I use it for business as travelling by boat is so pleasant.nThe hotel is a little tried for a rooms perspective but decent enough.nBreakfast is good, decent choice and surroundings.nStaff are always great.
We had the best stay at this hotel! Staff were very kind and welcoming also incredibly generous being it was our wedding anniversary which started our stay off on a very good note! The view is incredible, getting the ferry over to Canary Wharf makes it a very unique hotel in our eyes! The food in the restaurant is gorgeous. The cleanliness of the hotel is spot on! Just a fab hotel and we will definitely return! Thankyou for making our weekend so special!
I thought this hotel was great. Met expectations for a DoubleTree. Had convenient access to a ferry to cross the river, that was included in the stay.nnWithin walking distance within 3 miles to the Bermondsey beer mile, hop-on hop-off stop locations, and to other restaurants and shops.
