Gorgeous hotel. Rooms are beautifully decorated with a gorgeous bathroom and fab toiletries. And a great tea tray.. I love a good tea tray! Whilst room was beautiful, mine was very noisy...I'm sure it was next to the kitchen as I could hear trolleys and cutlery clashing ...and talking. Did contemplate asking to move rooms but thought it would quieten down...and it did...at midnight! So great hotel, comfy beds, beautifully decorated... just don't stay in room 202..unless you take ear plugs!!
Really nice hotel in a beautiful building. Room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Staff were all great. Good breakfast options. Parking is quite expensive at £20 for 24 hours - you'll need the RingGo app to pay. Great location, short walk to the Cathedral.
Excellent conversion of this former red brick Town Hall still with its Council Chamber now the restaurant. Well-appointed rooms, really comfortable beds and super large rainfall showers. Cathedral, castle and shopping all within a few minutes on foot. Ideal location and IMHO a notch above the Marriott opposite.
Stayed for one night, great location, beautiful hotel, room was quite small and dark but designed beautifully, air con didn't seem to work and so it was a touch warm but as the fire alarm went off at 3am we got the chance for some fresh air! no explanation as to wether it was a drill or someone messing about, bed was comfy and the rain fall shower was fab! staff were lovely and friendly on arriving and leaving.
Beautiful hotel, close to everything we needed. Great service from all staff, and breakfast was perfect. Nice restaurant and bar, and there was even a lovely little cafe downstairs too! I'm definitely coming back here.
