Decent place not too far from the city centre, the breakfast portions are quite small. And though the building does have character, the accomodation is a little dated. The rooms are very spacious and beds are very comfortable.

hotel was comfortable. spacious rooms with a good view of durham 10 min walk to town centre , breakfast very nice and staff very friendly definitely stop again !

Overpriced. And I don't enjoy cold beans with my breakfast. Mrs Boycott found a hair in her egg. The room was very 'bijou'. Waitress served breakfast whilst wearing flip-flops (no socks). Overall cleanliness poor. View was of the dustbins in the back yard. No castle in sight. Tired looking decor. Got suspicious when asked to pay upfront.
