Lovely stay on the riverside in Durham. The pool, sauna and steam room were a definite bonus and were very easy to access. Breakfast had gluten free options which was reassuring. Short walk from town, short jog from Parkrun on Saturday mornings. Lovely stuff.
I stayed here on my way up to Edinburgh. This is a great hotel in a quiet location. We paid extra for a river view room, which I highly recommend. The staff were all welcoming and the hotel was very clean.nnMy only complaint would be the faux leather headboard in the room. It’s a part of the wall behind the bed and had seen better days. The surface was badly worn out and had clearly been in that state for a long time.nnOverall, a great stay and I would return.
Me & my partner stayed here last week for one night. When checking in at reception we were told we had been chosen as “guest of the day” and were given free parking, free breakfast the next morning and a free room upgrade to a river view room!nThe room & view was lovely, the spa itself was nice too..we enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. The pool was lovely but just a bit too busy at times.nThe location of the hotel is amazing as there is plenty food & drink places very close by and a decent sized car park just behind the building.nAll of the staff members we met/spoke to were very pleasant and so helpful with any questions we had. We also really enjoyed the breakfast the next day!nOverall we had a lovely time :
We booked a wheelchair accessible room for last night and it was great, so roomy so no issues moving around. Bathroom was perfect and immaculately clean. Reception staff were lovey too.
My friend and I visited here last weekend for a girly spa weekend away.nnSpa facilities were good. It's just a shame about the jacuzzi jets not working. But overall, it was a great experience.nnRooms great size, but would have preferred a river side view. My friend emailed requesting this view.nnFantastic local and most definitely would come here again.nnCar park situated at the back, which is really handy.
