The grand is still.. well grand, with an old-timey, English charm. It feels like luxury with a few quirks from its prime.nnThe halls, corridors and bedrooms feel very spacious, with high ceilings. Again a sign of older times, but very welcome.nnThere was some wear and tear, but despite that it still felt very clean and the bathroom was spotless.nnThe spa area was a little underwhelming, with the steam room also closed during our visit. However we were really impressed by the treatments, so definitely worth getting those.nnAll the staff were super helpful. They were very attentive and always going above and beyond to help. We had multiple instances of looking slightly lost as typical tourists where staff picked up on that and showed us where to go. We wanted to give an honourable mention to Bella at reception who was a pleasure to talk to and made us feel very comfortable.
We came here for afternoon tea / spa experience and overall had a lovely time!nnThe steam room was nice, the pool room was a bit hot and a little dirty unfortunately. The staff were really friendly but I think the quality of the spa was lower than I would expect for the price and stars.nnWe had a package with 2 x 25 minute treatments and both really enjoyed our facial and massagennThe afternoon tea was delicious, lots of different options, they even catered to a completely vegan tea which was amazing and the sandwiches and tea was bottomless which we loved. Overall great time just spa facilities could maybe do with a little love!
Just returned from a nights stay at The Grand. The meet and greet from the Concierge and Reception Staff was first rate.nnOur room was well appointed and very comfortable and could not be faultednnOur evening meal was in the Garden Restaurant. Our previous experience was of very attentive staff. We found this to be missing, in the restaurant and the bar. Although there were side plates for bread no bread was offered and we had to ask for bread rolls. Some of the starters on the menu were not available as they had “ run out”, disappointing at 7.30 in the evening in in a 5 star hotel.nnThe starter, mains and dessert were delicious.nnBreakfast the following day was lovely but we had to ask for toast which would normally be offered at the table .nnDid we enjoy our stay? Yes, but came away feeling the high standard we had experienced before had slipped
Absolutely excellent service. The Grand Hotel is the only place we will stay in Eastbourne. It has the best location to the quieter part of the beach but within walking distance to the festival tents and a walking distance to the centre of town. The food is some of the best we've ever had, and the service is way above par. Huge rooms, always very clean with phenomenal views of the beach. Highly recommend.nPros are definitely the fastest, politest and most attentive service I have experienced. You felt you were VIP. Room Cleanliness is excellent and breakfast was delicious.
The best hotel in Eastbourne! From the moment I saw it, I knew this was where we were going to get married. The hotel perfectly captures that five-star seaside charm, blending luxury with a relaxed coastal atmosphere.nEastbourne was my late mother-in-law’s favourite holiday destination, so choosing this location meant a lot to us - and this hotel made our big day even more special. The suite we stayed in for a few days was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered stunning sea views. Room service was impeccable, and every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.
